what a bad day, so anyway he goes to the embassy today to pick up the rest of his packet three. and they give him a ds230. #######!!! so my regular number person the 6008 isn't picking up, so i call thru the main number someone picks up and says call back to morrow ####### but he is in kingston now, just give him the right forms. i send him back to the embassy and the girl at the windoow tells him there is nothing else there for him. so i call back and talk to an operator who transfer me to a different extension so of course i start calling the extension directly. and finally someone picks up and i start explaning to her what happpened. he has already submitted a ds230, and all he needs is the interview checklist and medical history form, i explain that he has his medical appt next thursday. first she states that it was mailed on may 25th so give it a few more days. then she looks at the case and says oh it would be in his packet that was sent on 4/13, I told her he never recieved the packet. she then wanted to know if he never recieved the packet how does he know to ask for medical history form, and interview checklist. I really really wanted to tell her because I am a Mother F#@! member of VJ. instead I told her I am the one telling him what he should expect.

then she asked if he got the appt letter and i told her yes but it was the only thing he got there were no additional forms with it. then she says that that is strange....isn't that what i was trying to tell her all along. so then she says that she will leave it at window 11, but he must come quick. because they are going to close soon...mind u she had me on hold for 10 minutes before she picked up my call. so i had to call him and yank him off line from getting the police certificate and tell him to go back now...hopefully he makes it back on time...

I have to go and buy me some fake beer tonight because at this point I need a drink.

oh jengles i''m feelin' for ya girl. dealing with them is such a frustration. my fiance said he stood in line at the embassy for 2 hrs on tuesday when it was his turn it took no longer than 1 minute to get serviced. he handed in the ds-230 and the lady took it and dismissed him. it's a good thing he asked for a packet because they sure weren't going to ask him if he needed it.

now in this packet was everything he needed. it had a duplicate of the ds-230, the rest of the forms needed at the interview plus the medical information. the ds-230 is the only thing they gave mr. jengles?

what kills me is how the embassy knows it takes forever for mail to arrive and yet they still expect you to wait on it if you're already there in person to drop off forms.

my fiance still hasn't recovered from his trip to kingston. he left in the middle of the night, spent all day in kingston waiting and running errands. and now he's still trying to straighten out paperwork in mobay and is running around downtown and then going to work. he said he's falling asleep and doesn't even realize it.

yup that was the only thing they gave him, but mind u he already turned it in, am I missing something. he asked for a packet at the window and got it??? He went back mind you and she told hm nothing else was there for him..

yes, he had to actually ask for the packet. the person who took the ds-230 said that it's been mailed out to him and when he said he didn't receive it then she gave him another one. jengles i sure hope he made it back to the embassy before they close.

I am glad Mr. Jengles was able to get the paperwork and the PC taken care of. I don't understand why the embassy doesn't just have stacks of the forms at the information window that you can get at anytime. It is not like the forms hold any kind of secret information or personal info pertaining to each individual. Who cares if someone gets them that doesn't have an appointment?!? Its not like the forms themselves can get you anything with the embassy...Kingston needs to lighten up a little and stop being the form Nazi's!

i think we can all say that is the story of our lives. when it's not the battery, it's the credit. i was so happy when my fiance got a mega fone. unfortunately, it was short-lived. the stupid thing is constantly dropping calls and now it will no longer make a connection. the phone doesn't work anymore and he has to see about getting the problem fixed or replacing it.

dang girl t-mobile is high! are they charging you a monthly access fee in order to get that rate? the wal-mart phone cards are 50 cents a minute.

So on a lighter note, I was at work today, guess what ? A patient brought in munchins for us and pepsi..but would u know the muchins were day old and stale and the soda was opened. ..We were like what! is she serious...then one of my co-workers had a little coctail party and being lazy instead of taking off her sweater to iron it..SHE IRONED IT ON AND PRESSED THE STEAM BUTTON....AND GOT BURNED ..IN THE SHAPE OF THE IRON HOLES ...OMG WE COULDN'T STOP LAUGHIN..TOTALLY HILARIOUS...

Even though Dwain says this town house is to expensive and we should be renting :whistle:. I am trying to tell him we are saving money without throwing our money to rent. He thinks you need all the cash to buy a house. I told h him on my salary that would never happen. I do all the finances so it is a difficult process to explain to someone not from the USA.

I'm sure I read something about teachers getting tax breaks to buy a house??
