Do you think there is long term psychological effects of smoking ganja?

Do I? I was married to a bud head for years, and from my personal experience and opinion, it exerbates amotivation and paranoia. I say this because the X was most likely lazy to begin with but the  ganja made it worse.

But do you think those effects or some form of effect lasted for months even years after they stopped using ganja (if they stopped)?

Honestly, I don't know, I just assume it would.

Andre's sibs are all named after hollywood - Raquel, Wayne, Elvis :P and Dwayne. Don't even get me started on how confusing it is to have a Wayne and Dwayne in the same immediate family

I am just happy their names don't end in TON. My cousins in London teased me when they heard I was marrying a Yardie - they said all Jamaican guys names end in TON (pronounced TAN) - Dexton, Glenton, Lenton, Barrington, Cherrington, Carrington  ... so to see Tony, Roy, Henry, Dave, Andre and the likes was a relief.

 That's funny. Damien and his brothers name end with "on" - Adreon, Shelton, Lueon (sp?).

Damien's name is pronounced Da-mean. I was wondering why his name doesn't end with "on" but his nickname is Texron  I'm the only one who calls him Damien.

Ok well let me put it all out there...you all are like family so here goes...

Andre and I have really been trying to work on things even though we are living separately. We started going to a counselor back in September...Andre went a few times but then stopped. I have continued to go. Andre has since gone back a few times but not too much. Anyways...last night the counselor and I discussed something that I think might have some validity. All I have been asking for of Andre at this stage in the game is for him to take on some basic responsibilities and to give me the attention that a wife needs. Just basics. Nothing major nothing hard honestly. Just some real basic things. Andre has yet to really do anything even though he talks all the time about wanting me back. So both the counselor and I are extremely puzzled over the last few months as to why Andre isn't taking the basic steps...especially when they are clearly defined for him. It is puzzling why he talks about all the things but doesn't actually put them into action. So my counselor and I have been discussing if maybe Andre has a slight mental impairment. Honestly he just doesn't seem to get things sometimes. In the beginning it was "blamed" on culture...but it really can't be after all this time and discussion. He did a lot of ganja smoking as a young teenager til he became a Christian in his early 20's. I am beginning to wonder if maybe there isn't some form of damage from those years. The counselor thinks this is an avenue we should really pursue as there really isn't any other explanations that are making sense. So that is the reasoning for the questions...

U all know my husband smoked ganja...I hate the thing if it was up to me it wouldn't exist. I think I was reading some info it was saying they has been no conclusion the long term pysch effects of MJ. it however have short term effects of reaction, speech and such. I have friends who are so smart but yet they smoke, so IMO i think it depends on that individuals agenda.

I think she made some great points. I would ask a psychiatrist as well.
