Wow  None here, but continue to think positive, maybe they will make it a requirement for the SO to come to the interview.

I bet they will in the near future or at least start issuing 221g to request to meet the petitioner.

we got approved with a blue paper requesting that i come to the embassy to answer some questions. what the heck is that all about? my man got through the first window fine...all paperwork was in order; second window fine; and third window when they asked him questions they asked if i was there and he said no and gave him the blue paper saying he was approved when i came back to answer some questions and we can come any tuesday or thursday without an appointment. i never heard of this one...something about this does not sound right to me. i need to think on this one for a bit. any thoughts?

What exactly does it say on the 221g? We got a 221g and what they told Andre was different than what they actually marked on the paper. It is very important to know exactly what they marked down. Any idea?

i don't know as yet. my man is on the bus right now and it is so loud i can barely hear him. he is gonna call me as soon as he gets home and i'll let everyone know. is the 221g the blue paper? i did not even know it was called that. and to just show up without an appointment on tuesday or thursday does not sound right to me.

Yeah the blue slip is a 221g - temporary denial/request for information. Andre was also told to show up any Tue/Thur at a certain time (I think 12:15pm or later) as soon as he had the requested information. It took almost 2 months and he just showed up on a Tuesday and they let him in. Yeah as soon as he is home make him read the paper to you. They marked more on our 221g than they actually told Andre so it was vital that we went off of what they marked and not just what they said.

Wow. I'm glad you got approved, finesse, but wow. How are you going to be able to do that? Don't they realize that we have jobs and lives here and can't just pick up whenever and fly to Jamaica? Of course they realize that, they have the damn I-134! I mean, I know I just went, but my trip was planned for months in advance! Damn.

Still no news on my end. What time did he call you? Was there a long wait there?

I mean really you are to fly down just to answer a few questions, I hope they have a valid reason. I would complain my butt off the reason is frivolous

They wanted a police certificate from the Bahamas because he stayed there 10 months even though I emailed a dozen times and was told it would NOT be needed because he wasn't there a year. I even had a POS lawyer who said the same thing...but when the interview came it was a different story.

They also wanted more proof of relationship even though we gave them everything. When he went back he brought the EXACT same evidence of a relationship and they were like "wow Mr. Chambers you really out did yourself blah blah blah" and didn't even look at it...pissed me off beyond belief  but it all worked out in the end.

That's why it is important to see what is written on the 221g... if that is all they want I would call them and tell them you would be happy to answer any questions over the phone. It's worth a try.

And thanks, everyone for the support. I'm trying to stay positive. It's almost 2pm down there and his appointment was for 8. Home is not that far away, not more than 1/2 hour. My stomach is all messed up. :(

Kingston is a high fraud Embassy so they give people a hard time...in most cases. The vets on here always recommended the US citizen to be present during the interview. It's the best proof of a relationship.

Please remember that the Embassy does not have to issue a visa....trust me, I read crazy stories everyday...some couples will ever live in the same country. Luckily, no one has been on this thread has been denied yet...except for ganga use. Count your blessings.

Yeah, there is that. :( In all of this, I guess we forget that there can just be a denial for whatever reason. That's what I've been afraid of for weeks.

I so don't think I would be an asset to hubby, I can't tolerate stupid people and they might want to ask a super intrusive/stupid question and it would go downhill from there.

the sad thing about Kingston is that there is fraud going on, on both sides of the fence
