Oh, HELL NO................that is what I say. I don't want any family members coming to visit. Friends either. We would never get rid of them. No lie...I've seen Andre's friends in JA come to visit and never leave, yet never contribute anything to the household either. We visit all his family and friends, here, there and everywhere.

I'm so glad we can chat this up and laugh about it. Sometimes, I think I would go crazy if no one else understood. You guys are the best!

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

She asked me to help put her in a medical assistant class.....my main issue is WHERE is she going to live????? and how is she going to make a living????

I told Damien I will apply for her when another job comes available in Kingston...they can stay here  Just kidding.

 I agree!

Andre's mom miraculously got a visitors visa to come to the US (visa from the Bahamas). She stayed in Miami and worked illegally for a few months and then stayed with us for 2 weeks over Christmas. God Himself is the only one who knows how I survived. Like Sjb I don't have time to write it all out but lets just say it was rough...really really rough. The worst part is when she would walk around a point out all the things she would have done different in the house..."you should have done this a lighter green, what you have no wash basin, you know that the veggies should be on this shelf not that one in the fridge, how come you turn the blinds in and not out don't you know it is better that way, don't cook anything in the microwave without covering it with a plate or you will get cancer" and on and on it went.

She even had the audacity to comment on my weight (she is much larger than me and has diabetes because of it) and when she would share out the food she would "make a special plate for Jamie because she doesn't need all that extra food" and then pile hers to the top...oh man I about bit clean through my tongue trying to keep it in

2 weeks???? Dang, five days in Aruba almost killed me. Overall Damien's mother was nice but I couldn't believe some of the things that came out of her mouth...she asked me if I washed my hands every time I went to the bathroom  .

Damien's mother and I wear the same size clothes but she MAY BE 10 lighter than me...mainly because my chest is bigger. Her twin is bigger than both of us...they had the nerve to make a few fat jokes and started talking about people going on diets....I felt like they were directed toward me  Damien politely changed the subject because a war was about to break it in Aruba.

we got approved with a blue paper requesting that i come to the embassy to answer some questions. what the heck is that all about? my man got through the first window fine...all paperwork was in order; second window fine; and third window when they asked him questions they asked if i was there and he said no and gave him the blue paper saying he was approved when i came back to answer some questions and we can come any tuesday or thursday without an appointment. i never heard of this one...something about this does not sound right to me. i need to think on this one for a bit. any thoughts?

Wow  None here, but continue to think positive, maybe they will make it a requirement for the SO to come to the interview.

Interesting...

My assumption is they want to see how legit this relationship is and if you are willing to fly down to Kingston to get your man to be by your side. I think they want you to prove your relationship is genuine.

I bet they will in the near future or at least start issuing 221g to request to meet the petitioner.
