I GOT APPROVED ON MY BIRTHDAY!:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

I just got the email now! OMG! Thank God and thank ALL of you! I had to call Marlon and he is super stoked too!!!!!!

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ummmm, what now? lol

That's great, what an incredible birthday present!!!!

Ummm hi everyone? I hope I haven't inadvertantly made people mad at me. It seems that lately when I post I am ignored. So if I offended anyone, sorry?

I just wanted to pop in and say hi. My NOA2 should be right around the corner.

I will have so many questions post NOA2 stage and I hope I don't become a pest!

Have a GREAT day everyone!

Ignored..on here never...i agree it has been a little slow on here..any has anything new and exciting going on..even a topic they want to chit chat about ?

I have a question...Does anyone on here SO has kis outside their marriage prior relationships ?

Javon's has two. His daughter who lives w/the mom and his son is w/him. We're going to file for my step-son once Javon's arrives and get settles.

How long does it take to file for step children? Since the fees are about to go up, I've been thinking that it might be better for my fiance's two children to follow him within the year.

It shouldn't take long...as long as you had them on ur I-130..all u would have to do is send it the affidavit for them..and pay their visa costs

Each child needs their own I-130 on file.

They do ? I thought if the child is a minor once they are on the original I-30 all we had to show was proof that we can take care of them financially..I thought thats what the papers said from NVC ...i could be mistaken...

For the CR-1 visa the child needs their own I-130, however if the petitioner files the K3 the child is fine IF he/she is listed on the I-129f petition. BUT once they AOS (after they arrive) the child will need an approved I-130 on file BEFORE he/she can adjust status. So to prevent any unnecessary delays most ppl file the I-130 together at the beginning of the process.

Yeah, when the kids are younger its tough to take them right away..so we kind of think we're going to wait until the oldest is "old enough"...

I must say there r quite a few of us with step children....:)

I have a question.... I am wondering if I have a confidential wedding will it make a difference when I go to AOS?? Will they see it as a problem because it isn't public record?? I only plan to keep it that way until we have a religious wedding which will be in October.

Although you can have a small private ceremony- you have to get a marriage license and have it publicly recorded after the ceremony in order for the marriage to be valid.
