Ok, I have a question.

What did you/are you going to do about money??

Is he going to have an allowance?

Are you going to just give him an extra bank card?

If you do, are you/do you put a limit on what he can spend?

Have you thought about how much he should contribute when he gets a job? Or how did you work that out??

I will still be getting paid full pay for like 18 months after I move, but have told him he'll have to take my cards, I am hopeless about saving money, I waste every penny I earn lol...Even going to have him change my Paypal password (I'm an Ebay addict too!)

So what we're going to do is sit down and work out how much I'm allowed to squander per month, which will be put in my account which I'll have a debit card for.

Once I start working, we're thinking about keeping the squandering money the same and just saving whatever the surplus is from my wages...Obviously this will work because he doesn't spend much at all and I know I have a problem with spending wisely...

Hubby jusy started a job. When he arrived we added him to one of my accounts, we opened him a seperate account in addition to that, his daughter has a card to one of the accounts, we depost money into biweekly for her. We have two savings and three checking accounts total, each have a purpose, one for savings, one for bills, ect. He will get his first pay check soon. We haven't descided who will pay what, instead all the money goes into the accounts, after we pay the bills, we put what we can in savings and let the rest sit unitl needed. We both have cards attached to each account. We did not set limits on what each other spends, he likes to save, I'm learning to do the same, so we don't have a problem. When he wants something he buys it same for me, but we usually consulte one another before hand...esp if it is a large purchase.

Anna - Fabolous finally some movement on your case I see you getting your NOA2 In the the near future. :dancing:

Happy Mothers day to all of u mothers out there

I am exhausted my brother graduated from Huskie Land yesterday and I threw the party at my house. It was his graduation and mothers day party. His graduation started early at 9am and didn't finish until like 11:30am. Thank goodness his last name started with the letter B so we could sneak out at 10am. He looked like a little dot to me. It was a good experience for me seeing how a big college has a graduation. Its not as close and personal like my undergrad and graduate degree. I told him he looked like a dot even on the big screen. Happy for him that he has a job to start in cook county but I told him he will want to move with Chicago traffic after one hour and 1/2 drive to work. He will go insane. He doesn't want to leave his college friends who have not graduated but I can see him moving when the winter comes.

I just want to say CONGRATS TO ALL THE GRADUATES of 2007!!!

Dwain got a phone call Thursday to go pick up his visa!! Wow that was short it only took one week from the interview  . My father and I hung all Jamaican art in our bedroom yesterday and awhile ago I had our bedroom painted his favorite color blue. He will be here soon only 19 days left! Now I am trying to convience him to skip the GED part and take placement exams to our commuity college. This would save us time on him getting a degree and he could start some music classes right away. But he still thinks he should go to get the GED cause he graduated highschool in 98. I don't know how to convience him that he can skip this part and start with the basics at the community college. Any suggestions? I stole a job recomdation letter that said he went to highschool and was a fair student. My Aunt who works at the college said it should work and that I would need to talk to the lady who deals with international students.

Met Jan 1998, vows on 2006, Jay Jay born 2008, baby 2 - 2011

Look at time line for visa information
