Hope this helps.

Ok, now I'm officially scared.....I will be travelling at 32 weeks, the airline I'm going with says you can fly up until 7 months so I SHOULD be ok!!

But so if they just look at me the wrong way they can deny boarding even with a doctor's letter??????

If the airline you are flying on **allows** you to fly UP to 7 months, the ticket counter, gate agents OR flight attendants **may** ask you for documentation from your doctor **allowing** you to travel.

I was 7 months pregnant, but noone could tell......it just all depends.

It's just like when mixed families travel, I have all sorts of clients that are married, remarried, have all different names and I HIGHLY recommend to each and every one of them to travel with documentation from their "other" (especially if there is joint custody) that says, I so and so allow the childs name to travel ....dates (to and from)....where to....etc etc. Especially internationally..... I have a client that told me when they traveled over Christmast to Turks & Caicos that they were prepared with their letter to show, if asked. They were NOT asked, but another family checking in right next to them WERE asked for their documentation and since they didn't have any ..........the entire family of 5 were denied.

Going to the Dominican Republic REQUIRES you to have documentation like that or you will be denied.

I tell my clients, even those taking their grandchildren, even domestically with ALLL of the ####### that goes on in our F-D up world to be PREPARED!!! My dad took my son to Detroit in January and they were going over to Canada for only just a couple of hours, my dad was asked for "proof" that he was the grandparent.....not just some man stealing my son and the customs person was impressed that he had his information all ready for them. They didn't want to see my sons birth certificate, but asked for a photo ID. My son doesn't have a passport, but I had given my dad my sons ID from an "Identification place" that came to his daycare (when he went) !!

So, ANY documentation, even though you may NEVER be asked, is better....in this day and age !!! It's way better than being denied altogether !!!

Couldn't agree more!!

Well I'm REALLY pissed today.

Apparently the US Embassy here sometimes asks for a notarized letter from the child's father giving the child permission to immigrate with the mother.

So, set up an appointment with a notary here and typed a letter for my son's dad to get signed.

So, after charging £55 to sign two pieces of paper, my son's dad calls me to say that the notary told him in his opinion he SHOULDN'T SIGN it!!!

Now here, we rarely get documents notarized, all notaries are lawyers as well.

But I was like #######??????

He was there to get the letter NOTARIZED, not to ask him for his opinion on the CONTENT!!

My son's dad said he signed it anyway, but the notary gave him a name of someone he should supposedly contact to 'draw up a proper' letter!!

I'm putting in a full complaint, because while the notary IS a lawyer, he was NOT being consulted for legal advice!!

And UNLESS he was (a) consulted or (B) the document was illegal he had NO right poking his nose in!!

What do you all think?

I agree he had no business to say anything, but since he signed it anyway I would leave it alone. Sometimes it's not worth the extra headache. ;)

Anyone have T-Mobile? I have a razr (btw piece of ####### phone & waste of money) and it dropped into some water. Now it's completely dead and T-Mobile is telling me I have to pay $70 for my deductible (even thought I pay $6 a month for ins). I'm a little ticked off right now b/c $70 is WAY TOO MUCH for a razr. I bought my phone for $25 back in Nov. Is there anyway to get around this ins policy? I used to be w/Sprint and they had the same type of ins but I knew how to work them so I never paid a dime.

I have a Razr from T-mobile too. I love the phone though....and I've had ALOT of phones. I never have to pay for my replacements, but they always just went dead on there own, i was never the one who lost or damaged it. The deductible used to be $35 but maybe that was cause I had a cheaper phone. Not really sure you can get around the $70. The price you pay for your phone is always cheaper than whats its actually worth, so when you break it, you pay more money to replace it then when you originally bought it.

You may want to see if you can use the $70 towards a new T-mobile phone since you dont like the Razr anyway. Why pay for something you really dont want? Otherwise I say by your phone on Ebay, thats always cheap.

Hubby did the same ting, Had to pay the same amount to replace it  It went dead, before that the screen was full of dust and the camera went out, the dealer said that they couldn't fix it :angry: The phone it's self in the store ranges $250-399, if purchased without a new plan activation, depending on who you go with.

I have T-Mobile as well. You should be able to upgrade to a newer phone for free or for a same amount (like 19.99). I recently purchased the KAZR, which is like the RAZR but smaller, on Ebay. And it works well.
