Hello!  I am simply baffled by all of the conflicting information out there....

 

Husband and I are ready to file AOS paperwork, but are tripped up on the I-693 requirement.  I keep reading everywhere that we should simply submit DS-3025, but we don't even have a copy of that.  It is our understanding that it was included with other medical information in the packet that was submitted at POE.  I have also read that, provided that all vaccinations were done (and are reflected on the already-submitted DS-3025), we should have no issues.  Should something be missing, we would receive an RFE and need to go see a CS to complete the I-693.  

 

Does anyone know if Al Sherouk would be able to provide us with a DS-3025?  

 

My gut is telling me to go ahead and submit everything we have, minus the I-693/DS-3025.  Worst-case scenario is an RFE?

 

Any thoughts/input/experience would be helpful!  Thanks in advance.

The DS-3025 has a statement right at the top to give a copy to the applicant. That's why many ppl have one. Your doctor should be able to scan and send one. Mine did. 

The reason it's good to send along a copy with the AOS is that ppl have received rfe's in error when the IO doesn't either know the K1 particulars (it's so much more common with all other visas that require the i-693, K1 is an exception to the rule) or sometimes when the A-file from POE haven't been linked up to your case properly. Sending along the copy shows that the information exists and that you complied with the requirements. I suppose if you wanted you could send along a statement instead (if you can't get a copy) just saying that "all vaccination requirements were met at time of K1 medical and the completed DS-3025 vaccination sheet is found with the medical submitted at point of entry" or smth similar, to cover your back.

I read somewhere that to avoid an RFE, to take the DS-3025 to a CS, who will then convert it I-693 and insert into a sealed envelope.  And less likely to receive an RFE.  Is this true?  I am ready to send my husband package, I am only questioning this DS-3025 and if it will be enough.

This would mean paying for a transcription to be made. Any rfe that is issued to a K1 applicant for the only reason of not supplying an i-693 is IN ERROR and doesn't happen often. NO you should not do this. It is not required.
