Hi guys, Salama Alykum!

I was wondering about the duration of visa they give to somebody with I-130/I-129F? Is is for 3 or 6 months to enter states? Anybody?

12/28/06 - got married :)

02/05/07 - I-130 NOA1

02/21/07 - I-129 NOA1

04/09/07 - I-130 and I-129F approval email sent!!!!

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

06/16/07 - Medical Examination

06/26/07 - Packet 3 SUBMITTED FINALLY!!!!

07/07/07 - Received pkt 4

07/22/07 - interview consular never bothered to show up for work.

07/29/07 - interview.

I think it's good for 2 years.

Isn't that once it is activated, but you have 6 months to activate it from the date it is issued?

30 March 2009 NOA received

8 April 2009 Biometric notice arrived by mail

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

26 April 2009 Touched

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.

I'm just going by what Catherine had said. Her husband has had the visa for a while now yet has not yet come to the US and when I asked when it expired she said 2 years. Best to find out from a more official source though since we have like three different answers so far. :blush:

I'm looking at my husband's visa and it was issued the 10th of Sept 2006 and it expired the 9th of March 2007 - so six months. I don't know about getting extensions or anything, I'm sure it's possible, if you're willing to deal with the consulate again.

Jun 12, 09 - Card Production Ordered

Jun 19, 09 - 10 year GC Received
