I have been trying to figure out what that means. If you find out, let me know :)

Here is my best guess...anyone who has another idea, please chip in.

As I understand one will receive notice of an RFE, then later actually get the RFE. I think the "Notice explaining USCIS actions was mailed" is the notice one gets that an RFE is coming your way, or perhaps some other action not related to an RFE.

If an RFE is coming it will say "Request for Additional Evidence was Mailed".  I wonder if the "notice explaining..." is for a denial?? I know embassies are where you usually get a denial but maybe some cases are so obviously a no, or maybe a criminal record or something comes up and the petition can't be approved?

I just googled it and it's most likely a NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny). I thought this many times when looking at and scanning data because RFE actually shows as RFE. Did you only partially complete all of the requirements?

Yep, for what I've heard normally that Notice usually means a NOID (intention of denial). It's not a definitive thing though, and can always be fought, but I guess the results depend on the reason for it. But yeah, nothing any of us would like to see :(

I think they were asking out of curiosity, not that they got that result for their case... Hope so in any case!

Why do they do that? Why having you waiting almost two months after the RFE for a denial? :(

So sorry to hear that and so frustrated at these people.

This is terrible.  I wonder if they just determined this or if they would have left you hanging.

I'm so sorry to hear this 😢 What was your RFE for?? My fiance said if for some reason we get denied, we will get married and go that route.  If that doesn't work..... My poor Texan will come to Canada to freeze.  Don't give up!!

Just got my NVC case number and Case ID - I called in, didn't receive the package/mail.

Very excited and want to do whatever I can to speed it up. Is it best to wait or do things with the state.gov site to keep me busy :-)

Best of luck all!
