I actually did a thing you aren't supposed to do last week...... I gave notice at work and said I would be here no later than the end of August.  My boss has been stressing out over me leaving and replacing me and I finally just gave her a date to calm her down lol.  She has already started looking for my replacement this week, but luckily if things go horribly wrong (which I really hope they won't) I can always get a position back, it might just not be the same one.   I figured too if I don't have my visa by that time, I will try and go visit Texas for a few weeks and then just come back for my interview and medical.

I have basically done that as well because my boss was stressing some too. I told her that likely End of September. She said ok that sounds good. She also said if something happens and I am here longer that's fine too. They are going to interview for a replacement but they won't do that til I am gone because I share a position with another lady who is supposed to retire someday fully. *rolls eyes* she was supposed to by now and I was to have full time but it never happened nor do I think it will. But anyway they don't have to hire anyone til after I go because of that. So I can float my last day no problem. I know its a no no but I honestly don't care. My second job is a seasonal job and ends at the end of September so I don't have to quit that one.

Now ..I'm a bit confused...these dates your quoting ...is that the received date...or the date of noa1?

The day my NOA1was received is Feb22, according to the receipt I received.

My boss would take me back..... Thankfully!!!!!!! I would maybe just have to work at a different centre and a different shift.  I also babysit a lot too.  I am definitely not buying my plane ticket until I actually have the visa.

Good for you guys! at least you have some planned end date at work already! and that your bosses are pretty accommodating!
