Congrats! We have identical received and NOA1 dates! I'm out of town until the end of next week, so I'm hoping the NOA2 is in the mailbox by the time I get back!

As I understand, the case workers simply select a box from the bin. How those cases and bins are arranged is anyone's guess.

Ok so Remember I was just calming somebody down yesterday about the approval  now here we go. Right after I wrote that post I called my baby and went to sleep. I told him to check the mailbox as some folks are getting their approvals by snail mail. He said nothing was in the morning mail but he will check in the afternoon and we will talk tomorrow. When I woke up I saw that he send me a message at 3am my time to call him when I get up. My heart started to beat faster but I didnt want to get any big hopes and be dissapointed. I called him couple times but he didnt Pick up, still sleeping Because of time difference. He called me when he got up and guess what? YES! We got APPROVED!!! With the date of May 5th!!! I started jumping and screaming, didnt Care that Im at work  im soooo relieved, it is so much worth to wait! 

 

Dont give up guys! Your day is coming!  soon everybody will get APPROVED! 

 

Im on my phone now, I will send my number later and update my timeline when I get home. Jeez Im so happy I wanna scream

Congratulations to everyone that has been approved, wonderful news !! Our NOA1 date is the 7th Feb so we are hoping we receive our letter soon. And being in Hawaii we receive snail mail. Not long now and hopefully the longest and hardest part of the waiting period will be over !

The unknown is what gets to me! I'm a planner, so I like having a goal and a plan. But with USCIS and the embassy, everything is up in the air and it kills me! He's much more patient than I am - he is confident that it will happen and he'll be here soon. Our NOA1 is 6 Feb so we kept hoping that we were among those in the "rogue box" a few weeks back. Ugh! Let's get this over already!!!

 

On a positive note, my mom just told me that she and my dad are going to help us pay for a string quartet at our wedding! So excited!

I am like you, I am a big planner.  My fiance always teases me and asks why I have to have a plan and schedule for everything.  If someone told me "you will for sure have your NOA2" by this date, I would be okay with the wait..... It's the stress and wondering if I will be one of the unlucky couples that goes 5 months with no word that gets to me.  I decided to help alleviate driving myself crazy, by booking a trip to visit my fiance June 24-July 5, so I can look forward and count the days down to that, instead of the NOA2. By the time I go I will be at day 130 (141 by the end of the trip) so *hopefully* by that time we will have heard something at the latest!

 

I was so happy for everyone to see all the approvals in January and February yesterday and today!! I am glad our month is starting to see some real movement

I went to India to see my fiance in March, but sadly that will be my last trip until after we're married. It is simply too expensive and the trip itself is so long that I really need to be there at least a week to make it worth it and I just don't have that much vacation time left. He isn't able to come here because the travel visas are very difficult to get from India. So I'm waiting on him to wake up early on his Saturday morning so we can Skype and do some marriage preparations and wedding prep

With flight and connections, my trip is only about 8 hours.   So I am thankful for that. I am even more blessed though to have such an amazing boss who lets me go on vacation frequently..... I met my fiance last august and at the end of my next trip, I will have taken already 8 weeks of vacation since October 2016 🙈  (all unpaid).  It's the running joke at work that I am on vacation more than I work.  I have 3 jobs though, so I work really hard when I am at home. 

 

You must be so excited to be making marriage preparations!! It is definitely starting to feel more real! Has he been able to visit you at all yet... Or his move will be his first time??

We are so excited! I have a wedding dress, shoes, priest, church, hall, and a few other wedding day things. I just ordered my veil from Etsy the other day! It is definitely making it more real, to say the least. My goal is to be ready to have a wedding within 2 months time.

 

I'm glad to see someone else hasn't been with their S.O. for that long! I met my fiance in September and had my first trip to India in November '16. Part of our reason for not prolonging our dating is marriage takes place quickly in Indian culture. Already his family is asking us why we aren't married already! By the time we get married we will have been together for a year, which is unheard of in his family. A year is a nice compromise between Indian and American cultures When he arrives on the K1, it will be his first time to the US... and his first time out of the country! He has a Bachelors and Masters in English, so he is very proficient in English and somewhat familiar with American culture. But being familiar with culture is very different than living it every day.

Hello Everyone! I am sooo glad I found this forum! I received my NOA1 February 27 and have been waiting patiently. I even gave birth to a baby boy this April which makes this so much harder. I want my partner to be with us and continue this beautiful journey with us. My child needs his father and it's heartbreaking how long this process is. It was easier when I was pregnant to travel but with an infant it's hard bc I'm breastfeeding and extremely hormonal and tired! I wish you all an approved visa!
