Hello all,

I filed the application on 1st of Feb 2017 and USCIS got my application on 3rd of Feb (California service center).

I still waiting for NOA2! I've been waiting for 98 days already.

Does anyone who filed on the similar day as me and already get approved?

I feeling like it takes so long lately.

Thanks ka for the reply in advance.

I'm still waiting. NOA1 February 1. I'm at 103 days. Hopefully soon! At least they are working on February cases (slowly...). I just got an update on my phone that a case received on Jan. 25 was sent an RFE.

01/27/2017:     I-129F Mailed

02/01/2017:     NOA1 (Receipt Date: Feb 01; Notice Date: Feb 03)

05/17/2017:     NOA2 (Received May 22, USCIS still shows as received)

05/23/2017:     Case mailed from California to NVC

06/02/2017:     Case Number Received (I called) from NVC

06/09/2017:     Case Status: Ready in Guayaquil, Ecuador

Just remember y'all that Love is always patient... we all fail at it. Take this as a lesson in growing in patience because marriage and relationships require a lot of it.

It's called government workers... ever been to the DMV? That's the kind of people we are dealing with... they are in no hurry I would imagine. Their check is there every two weeks regardless.

Mongfer, the main impact of the processing delay was two main events.

First, the application price increase in December had both November and December filers trying to beat the increase. There were over 4000 applications both November and December. That set back the applications from that point on.

The latest delay though was last week and it appears to be repeating itself this week. We are seeing a huge decrease in productivity in processing applications to a bare trickle from was once over 100 touches a day. Now all we are seeing is RFE's and RFE responses. We do know that there are a few examples here on VJ of people getting their applications approved but the website is not showing that. There is so much speculation to why that is happening, but it is our misfortune that it is.

The fact that February applications are getting touched at all baffles many of us December and January filers. There is still over 100 December filers that have not had their applications touched yet and hundreds (I believe that it may be close to 1000) of January filers that are dying for movement.

I will close by saying this... unless the USCIS can make changes to their process and get more staff to handle the flow, I only see this getting worse. The last week and a half has pushed many to contact their Congressional Representatives, but I believe that that fix will only last so long. The USCIS falls back always when you call to the fact that on their terms that it can take from 3 to 6 months. Very few of us have reached that timeline. So we wait.

Sorry for the essay.

As a governmental worker myself I must defend them. There are many good hard working people who work at the USCIS. The amount of work that is being put on them, who are highly understaffed due to budget cuts, antiquated software, and the mass retirements that are occurring, takes it toll on the best of them. Burn out is huge. Without them there would be no one to process YOUR application. So please don't lump everyone together in a nice little bundle of "those people".

It's a well known fact that a lot, not all, of government workers have a reputation of being slow workers, taking their time do do things. You don't have to get defensive... I was only speaking of  a pretty well known fact. I wasn't calling your integrity or work ethic into question at all.

I'm not sure how much more I can take 😔😔,my fiancé is getting worried about me know, thinking I'm getting way too stressed over all this and she's not wrong

Dont get too stressed about this.  My post about the H1Bs being transferred does not say they are being completed first.  Just another possibility.

I too struggle with the stress caused by this but there really isnt anything we can do about it.  We are using the time talk about thing they may ask in her interview, and thing we want to do when they (we have a 2 year old) get here.

Try to stay positive!

Being in the Navy, the process just to be able to take vacation outside of the United States to see my fiance is incredibly frusterating. I have to fill out a request 60 days with an itinerary in advance before my vacation request can even start being approved. I don't make a lot of money as a sailor so I am depending on the USCIS to get things moving along. If I'm not able to get my fiance here until October or later due to slow processing then I need to go see her in July. However, if I can get her here by the end of the summer then I can save what little money I have and wait until then. I will not be able to fly out to see her after the summer due to sailing. This is beyond frusterating. I just want to see my love already. I pray USCIS really moves things along for us February filers. I need to be able to appropriately plan for the future. Between them and the Navy, things are very frustratingly limited. She cries often just thinking about how much longer things might take.

What's going on? Is this normal to wait for this long?

We both have the same date.. 3rd feb.. you should receive something soon via snail mail but it seems that the online case status updates aren't working so constantly checking is a waste. Good luck and keep us posted if you receive anything today in the mail.

I am a Feb 2 filer and no update or NOA2 as of now. After reading this forum I found the K1 process doesn't take too long. I was expecting at least a year wait! I think that's why I am not too stressed out yet that I haven't heard anything.
