I am sending my AOS packet out on Monday! I am just waiting to get my passport photos taken this weekend and to have my husband's boss sign a new letter of employment for the I864 (he's on vacation so that's our main hold up).

what is the i864, do we all have to do that one? i have a couple of questions about the i765 and i485

i765:

1) u filled in your married name for 1) and maiden for 2) ?

2) question 14status of last entry, should be k1 fiancé visa?

3) question 15 should be non immigrant?

4) question 16 which eligibility category do we fall into for k1?

i485:

1) in part 3, where it says consulate where visa was issued-- this should be my home country's embassy? also in part 3 where it says in what status did i last enter this should be k1 finance visa?

I765

1) yes, that's what I did.

2) and 3) I put K-1 for both 14 and 15.  For number 15 I searched on visa journey for the answer and that seemed to be the consensus.

4)c9 because we are adjusting our status.

I485

I left that part blank (well put N/A in city spot) as the question asks "have you ever applied for an immigrant visa to obtain permanent residence...." And I checked no to that since the K1 is non immigrant (and getting it didn't give us permanent residence status). Do you mean part 1 under recent immigration? If so I put k1 again

I didn't realise the document was expired but since that's all they have on their website, that's what I'm using.

@eastcoastgroove Am I looking at the same doc? On USCIS website the I-864 I downloaded shows 07/02/15 and the page states:

Edition Date: 07/02/15. A new edition of this form is coming soon. In the meantime, customers may file using the 07/02/15 edition.  Previous editions are also accepted.  You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the Form and Instructions.

Where did you find an I-864 with 7/31/2017?

If you pull up the actual document, in the top right it has the date of 07/31/2017 as an expiry (but At the bottom it does say the edition is 07/02/15).

But good to know this one will be accepted no problem, I hadn't looked under that tab to see that info you found about the edition date.

Does anyone know if we send information or more evidence directly to our service center ...will it be received? Or is their some special envelope they only accept like for rfe's.... I'm asking cause I saw someones post about being stuck in security checks and they said they got a lawyer and the lawyer told them to gather more evidence and afterwards they quickly got approved....but they didnt mention if they just sent it in...I mean I guess I can call....I pmed them, waiting for their reply but if anyone can chime in please.....My answer to my  first inquiry is due soon on wed....I'm so nervous they'll just say I'm in checks again.

You don't need to open an account, per say. You can visit the website, enter your NVC case number and it will give you the status of your case. Every embassy is different in terms of where you pick up. For my fiance, the website says "issued" and he also got an email from the embassy telling him it was ready for pick up.

Here is the website: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Congratulations and good luck!
