Good evening everyone:

Heres an update on our case. Case was sent to Taipei embassy but I need to transfer to Manila embassy. I hope to get it transferred as my fiancée will be going back to Manila on October 25. I don't think this is sufficient time to have interview in Taipei. For any of you that have had case transferred to other embassy did it take a long time. In addition, petitioner(myself) is to send evidence required by embassy to fiancée so that it can be presented at interview... Does it take long to schedule an interview? I checked case status on CEAC website and it said interview date was provided by NVC.. I find this odd and am getting nervous. I hoped to have my fiancee here after the New Year in January but now I don't know if it's possible

VISA APPROVED!! Oh my goodness! I am SO EXCITED and RELIEVED!! He said the interview went very smoothly, even though some K3 visas ahead of him were denied. He was confident knowing how much support we had from friends, family and the VJ community. The interviewer asked him about 10 questions, such as: how many times did she visit? when did she last visit, for how long? when was the engagement? How did you meet? Where will the wedding be held? you are both Catholic? My fiance told him that I was in a convent (yes, I was a nun for almost 7 years) and that he is also very religious and spiritual. Apparently the guy was impressed that we have so much in common lol. At the end he told him, "Congratulations, your visa is approved." Such sweet words!!

October 20th he will fly to St. Louis to be with me FOREVER! That's 42 days, if you're counting! :jest:

Congratulations!!!

Oh, the guy did ask him for a color picture, though. I sent some with the petition but I guess he wanted to see the ones my fiance brought. I didn't think it mattered so I had told him to just print them in whatever - b/w or color. I put about 6 pictures on a page and labeled them, emailed the sheet to him to print. It wasn't a big deal apparently - he still got approved!

APPROVED!!!

My fiancé had his interview today at the embassy in London. The entire process took less than 40 minutes. They asked for all the documents of the list, congratulated us on our engagement and then asked 1.) How we met, 2.) How many times he's been to the US, 3.) Asked if he met any friends or family while visiting, 4.) Asked if he had brought his dog over to the US (since that's how we met - long story), and then he said congrats again as your visa has been approved. My fiancé said he floated out of the embassy.

I want to say thank you to everyone on this forum for sharing your knowledge and your journeys. We found this forum only after our lawyer dropped the ball and forced us to play a lot of catch up. Through the sharing of your knowledge and personal experiences we were able to pick up the pieces and take our visa process from NOA2 all the way to approval. We've learned so much from you all.

Now we wait for the visa to be processed!!!

To those still waiting, this is the places to get answers. Keep asking. Keep sharing. I love the power of knowledge created here.

I'm sending all the positive vibes to each and everyone of you.

I'm so happy for you!  Congrats!

Medical & interview scheduled :jest:

Medical will on the 28th September and interview will be on the 10th October..... I was so shocked as there were interview slots for the 20th September! But due to work I've chose later dates which is fine with me as I've decided to fly out on the 18th November! I'm so excited that I'm currently sat at my desk in work like

Great news, congrats!

I was surprised at how long it took for August to fill up, all the dates did finally get taken but that wasn't until around the 15th.  With your medical not until the 28th you've got plenty of time to receive packet 3 from the embassy, if they decide to send it, to take with you to Knightsbridge.  So glad to see you so close now!

She tried but can't get through. Her company is asking for travel docs two weeks before she leaves. I'll have to find a better phone number.
