Yes. I understand. But there was a February filer here that got in big trouble when he filed the DS 160 before being "ready" at NVC

He had to reschedule the flights and interview and medical....

I may of misunderstood you. Normally the ready is at the Embassy not at NVC is what I was thinking. Besides, he can't submit the DS-160 without the case number that he will get from NVC when NVC has assigned the case number. So I am confused.

I have seen this year in and year out. Everyone thinks they're special and should be treated as such. I happen to think differently. $hit happens. Over the 4 years that I have been involved with VJ, the window in which applications have been approved has changed like a yo yo. Sorry I didn't sugar coat my answer but reality is reality. It won't get approved until they can be satisfied that "you" are deserving of a visa (your background is clear). Every case is different and some will be approved sooner than someone else's.  Even if that someone else filed after you. USCIS has been inundated with immigration issues. I'm sorry you can't see that.  Now thank you for your "f you".

Can one be "pre" printed, and faxed in or uploaded? I noticed the 30 day expiration date..

I, of course, was not saying "f you" to you....I am saying that these people  (as did I) waited  (and are waiting) long after any "estimated date". Telling anyone to "be patient" after a half a year in is unrealistic.....why should anyone "be patient" after all of this time? It's an application for a fiance visa.....

You can go in and complete the DS-160 and save it. Before 30 days is up and you have your MNL# then you can return to the DS-160 and open it and complete the question with your MNL# and submit it. You can fill out the DS-160 or your fiance can do it for you, but by law you are the only one that can hit the submit button.

It's a process. The window for USCIS to complete is 5 months. As you know that 5 months is approx. 150 days. Just about where people are getting approved. Some near 150 some later. Some have more "issues" then someone else hence maybe the approval for them is near 150 and for those with issues it's longer.

Yes 30 days. If it expires, you can start another one. The main thing is, the one that you want for the interview requires the confirmation page be printed and handed in at the interview. So you can do many but the one that counts is the one you hand to the CO at your interview as they will "tap into" that one and ignore the others. In fact they can't see all the ones you have started and not used.

good, I might have one saved and printed out if possible, so when the time come to submit, I'll have all the information needed. then my fiance can submit it.

The one who is going to the interview is the one who must submit the DS-160. Like I indicated, anyone can fill it out for the beneficiary but the beneficiary is the one that has to hit the submit button.

Good afternoon everyone:

Heres an update on my case; NOA2 was August 23 just got off phone with NVC and I was given my case number. I need to transfer my case to Manila embassy as my fiancées contract ends on Oct 27. I don't think this is sufficient time to get interview by that date. I was advised to send email to NVC but now agent told me to send email to Manila embassy. I read info onliner requesting tax return and affidavit of support form. Any other documents that anyone is aware of that I need.  Do you think it is wise decision to transfer case to Manila or is it remotely possible for her to get interview before Oct 27. Any input is greatly appreciated... thanks
