It's so scary haha i never thought i would be at this point!.... Just curious, did you guys ever receive a letter from the embassy or NVC? I know I have to take that letter to the medical but ive seen some people not get said letter.

We received a letter from both, but neither are needed for the interview. At the medical, they ask you for the documents listed on your Knightsbridge appointment confirmation e-mail. We used the NVC letter at the medical. The NVC letter is sent to the petitioner. The letter from the consulate is sent to the beneficiary.  If you don't have anything for the medical, print a screenshot of the CEAC status popup.

I understand, it's scary and exciting and a whole bunch of other emotions all rolled up into one during this whole process but it suddenly feels more real once you reach NVC and things start moving so fast after the long wait with USCIS.  I'm so happy that you've finally made it to this point!

We actually received 2 letters from NVC, the exact same letter with the exact same case number and date, no idea why we got 2.

On CEAC our case changed to Ready on 07/17.  My fiance received the letter/packet 3 in the mail from the embassy on 07/25.  I think we were lucky to get both since I've seen many people get one or the other or neither.

If you don't have the letter from NVC or the packet from the embassy at the time of the medical, I've heard that Knightsbridge knows this happens and will accept a screenshot from CEAC showing your case number and status.  Now, they might not tell you this on the phone or via email when you call, it seems like the people who answer the phones/email are very strict/by the book.  However, when you go in person to the appointment, they are more laid back, more understanding, more willing to help, and much more pleasant.  So, even if you don't have either, you'll be fine.

Opened our email account for this whole process about an hour ago and received the tracking number for the passport with Visa.  The tracking number says that it should be available for pickup on Monday!

So exciting!!!!

Silly Question: Who was this email account registered with? USCIS? NVC? CEAC? Or with the embassy when you made the appointment?

I'm wondering if the airlines will require my debit card and ID to be shown for my girl to obtain her boarding pass.

The ticket is in her name, I bought it on Orbitz. She will be using Asiana Airlines leaving out of Manila.

I will not be flying with her.

Hi. Another question. For London. Interview. When showing the i134, Do I need a copy of my fiance's birth certificate again? They already should have this from our petition ? I can't see anywhere on the form that says it is needed but I may be missing something? Ps I'm a worrier if no one has guessed. 😅😅🙈

He could also scan it and have you print it, Knightsbridge isn't going to ask for an original version.

No problem about worrying, we all do that :D

You do not need to show a copy of your fiance's birth certificate, you just need to provide a copy of yours.  The I-134 doesn't require this or ask for this.  They didn't ask my fiance for one because they already had it in the original submission.

Omg thank you for this. I was panicking a little! I thought I'd have to have it sent from USA. Yeah we sent his when we filed the petition so I thought they'd have a copy of it anyway. Thank you 🤗🤗

I know right....I'm close to 190 days...and nothing for me either...just bullcaca security checks...excuses excuses...will this ever end for us....?

Yes it will end for you. When? No one can say for sure. I waited one year and 4 months for LPR 10 GC that was suppose to take 6 months tops as that is what the timeline for those in california were getting adjudicated, but ours case was in Vermont. You know what I did. I waited until I was out of status then I had a infopass meeting and was told they didn't know when it would be completed. So I waited a few months longer as not having it was not interfering with anything we were doing and sure enough it showed up.  The best thing that came out of this delay is that her GC is still officially 10 years but add the wait time and we got FREE TIME. Sweeeet.

So, you have two choices as I see; complain and feel that you are being singled out or relax and enjoy your life and check in on the case processing timeline at CEAC and when it is getting close it soon will be your turn. It's just the way it is. Look and follow their timeline and put some joy back in your life. Nothing is going to change as everyone in Feb Mar and April are running 150 to 180 days.

I knew I had the words wrong.....when I said "received" I was talking about "at NVC". Sorry

I believe it has to be at "ready" before you complete the DS 160  (mine went from "at NVC" to "in transit" to "ready" in six days.....)

Does not have to be in "ready" to complete the DS-160 BUT you will need your case number for your Embassy. That's why you are calling NVC to get that number so that you can complete some of the processing before the file reaches your Embassy.

Yes. I understand. But there was a February filer here that got in big trouble when he filed the DS 160 before being "ready" at NVC

He had to reschedule the flights and interview and medical....

I have appreciated your comments on visa journey as much as most of the February filers here....your knowledge is commendable and appreciated. However....When  we ALL began this process seven months ago on a K1 visa the normal processing times was 3 months.....let me repeat that....3 fffing months......I received mine at day 163. ....it's now been over 190 days for the NOA2 for some of these good folks.....so telling them it's "all going to be okay" and "don't cause a ruckus" is like a big "f you"....these are good people who just want to be with their loved one...

I have seen this year in and year out. Everyone thinks they're special and should be treated as such. I happen to think differently. $hit happens. Over the 4 years that I have been involved with VJ, the window in which applications have been approved has changed like a yo yo. Sorry I didn't sugar coat my answer but reality is reality. It won't get approved until they can be satisfied that "you" are deserving of a visa (your background is clear). Every case is different and some will be approved sooner than someone else's.  Even if that someone else filed after you. USCIS has been inundated with immigration issues. I'm sorry you can't see that.  Now thank you for your "f you".
