Did they give you a case number? If so....get on the CEAC website and put the case number in....it will go from "received" to "in transit" to "ready". When it says "ready" that means it is at the consulate.

Someone correct me if I have the words wrong

Yes, they gave me case number, invoice ID, and beneficiary ID. When I typed in my case number it says "at NVC" and I should wait for them to give me instructions. But should I apply for the DS160 anyway?

I knew I had the words wrong.....when I said "received" I was talking about "at NVC". Sorry

I believe it has to be at "ready" before you complete the DS 160  (mine went from "at NVC" to "in transit" to "ready" in six days.....)

You can start working on the DS-160 already, but probably better to wait to submit it until your case shows as Ready.

Getting ready to send our final paperwork to the embassy in Buenos Aires and looks like they want an original copy of my (the petitioner) divorce certificate? I already sent this in my original petition...or is this for the beneficiary? Or shall we disregard because they have it?

Hey Guys,

Can't believe I've been through this whole process and now stuck at the final hurdle! Had my interview and K1 visa approved last week, and in my application to the Embassy I had selected for DX Group to courier my passport and docs to the DX Chancery Lane depot in London.

I haven't contacted DX or filled out any forms for this service, should I have done so? My CAEC status is "issued", but I'm not sure whether I should've arranged for DX to pick everything up.. I thought it was all arranged by the embassy/they would send me a tracking number for the courier delivery?

Thanks!

Charlie

From my understanding, once it leaves the embassy you should receive an email and text with the tracking information.  If you chose the DX Group Chancery Lane Depot, then there isn't anything else you would need to do or arrange the pickup.  The Embassy/DX Group should arrange pickup and delivery to that location.  We chose a pickup location in NW2, our case switched to Issued on Tuesday, and we still haven't received a tracking number.

Send it again. According to everything I have read, it will hold the process up if there is not a copy at the interview....

Got my LND number yesterday after 13 days, it was our first time calling and a nice gentleman advised my fiance they had just received our case but not yet assigned a case number he said if my fiance liked he could hold whilst he added our details to the system so he could provide him with our case number. That's great news, congrats!  NVC is so much better and so much nicer than USCIS, I think NVC should starting to train USCIS on how to handle people and phone calls.

Now you can call and book your medical as they only ask for the LND number when you call to make your appointment.  The pace is picking up now for you for sure, you're in the home stretch!!!

Opened our email account for this whole process about an hour ago and received the tracking number for the passport with Visa.  The tracking number says that it should be available for pickup on Monday!

I understand, it's scary and exciting and a whole bunch of other emotions all rolled up into one during this whole process but it suddenly feels more real once you reach NVC and things start moving so fast after the long wait with USCIS.  I'm so happy that you've finally made it to this point!

We actually received 2 letters from NVC, the exact same letter with the exact same case number and date, no idea why we got 2.

On CEAC our case changed to Ready on 07/17.  My fiance received the letter/packet 3 in the mail from the embassy on 07/25.  I think we were lucky to get both since I've seen many people get one or the other or neither.

If you don't have the letter from NVC or the packet from the embassy at the time of the medical, I've heard that Knightsbridge knows this happens and will accept a screenshot from CEAC showing your case number and status.  Now, they might not tell you this on the phone or via email when you call, it seems like the people who answer the phones/email are very strict/by the book.  However, when you go in person to the appointment, they are more laid back, more understanding, more willing to help, and much more pleasant.  So, even if you don't have either, you'll be fine.

Yay!!! I checked the ceac website today and my visa is in transit to the consulate. I can't wait until we have an interview scheduled. It does go really fast after the noa2 is issued.
