Exactly 2 weeks until our wedding and thought I would share our plans incase others have not thought of this.  I know a lot of us are having courthouse weddings because they are faster and cheaper and the beneficiary probably doesn't have much family coming. My fiance and I had planned that, but when we started looking into it, it wasn't THAT much more to hire an officiant.  We are paying $195 for an officiant for a Tuesday morning wedding (was cheaper to do during the week) and we are going to get married in a park down the street (either under the gazebo or on a bridge near some water).  I think that will be a nicer wedding memory than being in a courtroom!!

I'm here in Ciudad Juárez with my Fiance for his medical, ASC and interview. He's actually in his medical right now. Tomorrow is his Biometrics (a part of the Mexican process and it's a 10 minute appointment) and Wednesday morning is his interview. This city is horrible and we are encouraged to stay withing the parameters of the Consulate area. We are staying across the street from all appointments and luckily there is a new giant mall there as well. It's gonna be a long three days.

Hello! I noticed you are a few steps ahead of me and My fiancée is Fromm mexico as well!!! I'd like to ask you a few questions. I received my NOA2 8/18 and I am waiting for NVC. How long did you wait to contact them for the Case Number? What does the medical consists of. My fiancée doesn't have any records of his vaccinations and do they do blood tests/urine tests? And how did the interview go? I am soooo excited we got the NOA2. But I'm nervous about the rest. Please anything. Absolutely anything will help me!!!

Hello everyone! Silent petitioner here! I received NOA1 2/27/17. And I received NOA2 on 8/18/17. Still waiting for NVC mail. What does their mail include? What is in the packet? My fiancée is from Mexico. For the affidavit of support...Which form is it again and what do I need? Tax returns, w2's, bank statements, letter of employer? Thanks to you all that kept me sane at the beginning of this process. It's been very hectic. especially because I am taking care of our 4 month old baby alone in the States. I want this to be over and to be with him. So we can all be one big happy family. For all you waiting, I wish you a speedy NOA2 With all my heart!

Ok....

After you receive the NOA2....you start calling nvc to get your case number...when you receive the case number you can start checking the ceac website. Do not wait for mail from NVC.....

202 days now.  No NOA2, no RFE, noda. Just nothing but being ignored by USCIS while they process another 70% of April filers.  What a crock of s$)+.

I know how you feel.. I did receive a RFE but it only prolonged the process. I have no doubt we will hear back. Have you tried contacting them? Because if you didn't receive any RFE then you're well over the time limit.

I had more success with the non immigrant line.....and I called every day (because I am obsessive compulsive like that....and was proud of myself for only calling once a day :D

They will give you some "six weeks" song and dance....keep calling.

Yes ! They kept saying 6 weeks. What's the number for the non immigrant ?

I got my NOA2 on 8/8 and I keep calling the NVC and they are saying my case isn't there yet .... is this normal ? I give them my application number from NOA2 and it's not in the computer

It took almost a month for the NVC to receive my case from USCIS.  No idea what the delay was but, yes, it's possible it might be taking this long.  The thing to remember with every step in this process is that there is no "normal"  :D

I like this idea! I will take it in consideration. If and when they approve his visa. Crossing my fingers!
