Well, I sure can't travel by land from Spain... Well, maybe if I fly to Mexico or Canada first ;)

Sorry, just joking. Actually you can find a lot of reviews about the different POE's here on VJ, and the majority of them are airports.

Don't let people get you worried about what's the most straight forward part of the process.

Good luck! :)

Oh, and yes! The immigration officer probably will take you to a different room to handle the visa, not the normal queue, and they'll keep your package except for the medical.

Haha !

Thank you so much for the info and the sense of humor ! I sure needed that after feeling so frustrated and overwhelmed ! 😅

Thanks again ! 😊

Sorry for disappearing on you guys. I entered the States two weeks ago and it's been amazing to finally be able to be with Justin. No 12+ time difference, no more long distance!

I hope everyone is doing great and that all if not the majority of the couple here have got their visas. For others, my advice is I know it's hard. I feel your pain but just hold on a little while. Be patient. Your time will come, I promise you. The waiting will be worth it in the end.

Love you guys,

Dhanu

Every time I see your profile pic I think, aawww, they're so cute! I am SO happy to you two! Best wishes and keep us posted from time-to-time. When is the wedding?

I was away for quite a few days and I see I didn't miss much conversation. Maybe others are in a similar position, waiting for something? I had my bridal shower Saturday (wwooo!) but we are still just waiting for his interview date. Nothing much we can do but wait

Congrats on the shower!

When is the interview?

NVC got mine in 10 days.  Apparently a large batch arrived on 8/24 - on a fluke I called on 8/25 and they gave me the number.

Call just after 7am tomorrow or another strategy is about 11pm (after days work is done I presume).

(603) 334-0700

I hit 1 english and 7  If they don't have it, call again and do 1 and 5

Expeditious luck to u :D

When you said "if they dont have it, call again" do you mean if NVC claims to not have our case, we should try asking a different section (dialing 5)? :)

Yeah, I noticed that it's gotten a bit quieter here lately too.  But I'll always stay and keep the conversation going :D

I just checked our status on CEAC and we've just entered Administrative Processing for the first time.  From what I've read at this point we'll be switching back and forth between Administrative Processing and Ready a few times before it finally says the word we're waiting for Issued!

I'm also in the process of planning my trip over to London for one last trip there to help my fiance pack up, stuff everything into suitcases, and then fly back to the states together.  I keep circling between American Airlines, Expedia, AirBNB, Hotels, etc. looking for the best options for flight and accommodation.  I'm hoping to finally get everything booked today or tomorrow; yes, I know, it's best to not book anything before Issued/Visa in hand but I'm planning the trip for late October so I'm hopeful that won't be an issue :)

Yep, because 5 deals with electronic cases, that sometimes people in 7 can't see.

We called 5 first time and they told us not to call there again, probably because they knew my country doesn't do electronic cases, but it was good to at least know that :)

I called the NVC this morning and they have received my case. So now I have my case number and just waiting for the next step. Good luck to all those still waiting at the noa2 process. Do I need to follow the steps like choosing an agent with form DS-261 now?

No,you don't have to follow those six steps. Fill in DS-160 and check your country Embassy for next steps :)

I'm still waiting for my case number but I believe once you receive that you can fill out the form and you case should be sent to your embassy shortly.
