Im hoping they release more dates because I can't make it down on that date. I think I'm going to call them after the bank holiday weekend and find out. Surely they can't just have one day left in that month. 😕😕

We are dealing with completely different embassies  (my fiance is Algerian) and we can not find a date.....ugggghhhh....after waiting all of this time....you would think there would be something acceptable available....

Have you tried calling them?

Hello everyone:

I have a question does the police report only apply to beneficiary or petitioner as well?

Only beneficiary. If she's doing interview in Manila, better to get NBI clearance also it's one of the requirements

Back when I booked I was able to choose the date but I don't remember how.  I feel like I clicked on the calendar icon and it showed all the dates that were available.  I think that there maybe was an option that was either "first available date" or "let me choose my date" but I could be remembering totally wrong, it's been awhile since we booked.  The last I checked there were about 10 days in September that had openings still but I can't check that now since my fiance's interview has passed.  You also have the option of changing your appointment after you book on the same website.  So, if you can't seem to find a way to choose a different day now, you could maybe choose the date that doesn't work and then reschedule it after you complete the process.

Yeah i found out I just carry on with the website and it gets to that bit where it brings up the calender. After you pay. It's very confusing. I'm going to look into it this week and book then 😁 thank you

Hi. I was going to but others have advised me to carry on through the website steps and it brings up a calender of dates once you pay. It's very backwards I think. Apparently I pay for the visa first then choose my date.

When you are logged in to the portal you will only be able to see the first earliest available interview date on the left side of the page (assuming the same portal is used worldwide). To see more dates you will have to proceed to the payment page. If I remember correctly you will only get to see more dates after you've entered the receipt # (proof that you paid). When I was choosing there was only one available in the entire month, so I waited for a couple more days hoping that more interview dates (was waiting for an earlier slot, because the only slot was 30 days away!) would be available but nothing became available. In fact, it got pushed back to one day later (31+ days) so I panicked... I didn't want to end up getting an even later date so I just choose whatever was available. It seems like some embassies have numerous dates available but just note that some may only have 1 (or none!) Good luck :)

I'm here in Ciudad Juárez with my Fiance for his medical, ASC and interview. He's actually in his medical right now. Tomorrow is his Biometrics (a part of the Mexican process and it's a 10 minute appointment) and Wednesday morning is his interview. This city is horrible and we are encouraged to stay withing the parameters of the Consulate area. We are staying across the street from all appointments and luckily there is a new giant mall there as well. It's gonna be a long three days.

NVC got mine in 10 days.  Apparently a large batch arrived on 8/24 - on a fluke I called on 8/25 and they gave me the number.

Call just after 7am tomorrow or another strategy is about 11pm (after days work is done I presume).

(603) 334-0700

I hit 1 english and 7  If they don't have it, call again and do 1 and 5

Expeditious luck to u :D

Thanks for your help. I called today and they said they received my case but did not have a case number yet. I asked the lady when I should call back and she said in two weeks.

I would recommend calling tomorrow. They received mine one afternoon and I called the next day  (they had entered it in the computer) and received my case number.

Just my opinion

Hi all !

I have a question,

Once the visa is recieved along with the packet,

is the packet handed to the immigration officer at the airport of Port of entry ?

Meaning, the person can travel to the U.S in airplane right ?

They do not have to travel through land ?

I've had several people tell me that k visa holders had to travel through land .... which i am not so sure about.

You can definitely travel by airplane, and I'd say the majority of people do it this way!

Well, I sure can't travel by land from Spain... Well, maybe if I fly to Mexico or Canada first ;)

Sorry, just joking. Actually you can find a lot of reviews about the different POE's here on VJ, and the majority of them are airports.

Don't let people get you worried about what's the most straight forward part of the process.

Good luck! :)

Oh, and yes! The immigration officer probably will take you to a different room to handle the visa, not the normal queue, and they'll keep your package except for the medical.
