Girl I feel you!! The wait between NOA2 to interview for me was almost 3 months (May 19- Aug 9).  I think it was worse then the wait for the NOA2, since everyone said how fast it was supposed to go .   I was able to schedule an interview 3 weeks out when the time came (which is fine) but it was the wait until that point. I've seen others get through Montreal faster recently, so Im thinking it was just a bad time for me because of holidays. Regardless, I hope everyone else has a faster process after NOA2 than me!!  Luckily you only have a few more weeks!! How soon after is he able to move??

Exactly!!

He has to give a one-month notice at work. We are going to take a slight risk - he will give notice as soon as the interview is over and he is told he's approved. I hear that getting the visas in India usually go pretty quickly after the approval, around a week. Then he needs to go to his home-state (Kerala) to sign some papers for a house he owns and is trying to sell. So after the interview, it will be about 5 weeks or so before he's here.

When do you leave for the states?

Exactly 1 month after NOA2, my file stills says at NVC... this process will be slow for some of us regardless. I don't know what to expect anymore. I am going to let go and let God😩😩😩

The same thing happened to me. My process after the NOA2 wasn't as fast as everyone else. Our NOA2 was June 10th and it was received by the NVC July 14th. Hang in there! It'll happen when you least expect it.

On this note, can anyone comment on the following claim made by US Embassy (London) on the home delivery by mail of an approved K-1 visa? The delivery confirmation page generated by the embassy states: "Tracking information will be sent to the following mobile number..."

Does anyone know if this feature actually works, if the foreign fiance(e) did receive package tracking info from their embassy by cell phone, and if so was it by text message or phone call? Given the history of these failed notification services we're skeptical.

We are elated to have been approved yesterday and are certainly hoping for a successful first visa delivery attempt. Our thoughts are with you all out there!

Thank you!

Yes, we're notified. There is no tracking though (even though they called it tracking), just a date that they will deliver on. It's was an email notification.

Congratulations. There are some steps that will help you speed up the process. Begin here as Hank has put together a great website to help you along. Best thing you can do this week is get out your Birth Certificate and review it for any errors.  Order an NBI report and also look it over for errors.  And in about 10 business days you need to cal NVC and get your MNL#.  Once you have that then you can schedule your medical, interview and CFO.

Here's hank's website link.  http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

So stressed out! My fiancé had his k1 interview at USE Jakarta! He was one of the last interviews, it was the day before their holiday, the interview was rushed, the CO didn't even look at the affidavit of support, just asked my fiancé one question about me then asked my fiancé about a previous application he put in 2010 to come to the US. Returned his passport, kept the originals to all his documents, then gave him a white slip 221G and checked off administrative processing. Told my fiancé they would call or email him. I am pregnant due in October and very very stressed. I've called multiple times to speak to someone but because of the holiday and communication barrier it has been difficult. I don't know if I should travel to Jakarta and go to the embassy. Any advice???

From my experience when they return the passport then it typically means you have been declined. The 221g when mailed and receive will probably confirm that. Prepare yourself for this news.  There isn't much you can do once you are declined but there is another way around this but it is going to take more time, patience and money.  You two can get married then file for a CR1 which most times can't be declined. This is my opinion and experience from others. I wish you all the best.

Do you have your visa already?? I am not sure if they need to communucate with you after.  I would say just use your new/ current one when you adjust and you should be fine.
