Thank you TriloByte.

Another question, does my fiancè have to be home to accept the delivery? Meaning does he have to sign for it?

My fiancee did not have to sign for hers. That was a bit scary for me BTW, but they did leave in in a secured mailbox of sorts where she lives. :)

It's ridiculous to me that there are so many from February that are still waiting.  I can't believe they've had your RFE response for almost a month now, and that response was to just check a box or two if I remember correctly, and they still haven't processed that.  I feel so bad for you and everyone else that is still waiting on them to get their act together.

I second that. There's a huge problem over there. I was furious and in a rage just over waiting 130 days. I think it;s unethical to make people wait for this long apart from loved ones.

Everyone that's still waiting, generally speaking, after NOA2, things start moving very fast, so fast, that it's disorienting in comparison to the USCIS stages. Once you have your fiancee home, you will know without a doubt that all of the waiting was worth it, so don't give up! I'm still here rooting for you!

190 days now.  If they approve us today, we may be together by Christmas.  We're losing hope that they will get to ours anytime soon knowing they have hundreds ahead of us.

Hello,

I hope someone is able to help me, I received a letter from NVC with a Case Number, and I checked on CEAC, which says ready. Can I schedule the medical Exam and Interview if I haven´t received anything from the Consulate ? Or do I have to wait until my fiance receives this package ?

Thank you !!!!!!

hi) can tell from our expierence - when you get NVC case number you can schedule your medical. And you can schedule the interview only after you get the confirmation from your embassy, that they got your documents (this is packet 3, it is just e-mail, they will send it to petitioner).

so for now you definitely can make your medical, as they need only your nvc case number for this. and confirmation from the embassy should come just in 2-3 days (cant tell for mexican embassy...but we got it very fast) after you get e-mail from the embassy, you can do everything in one day - to pay the visa fee and as soon as they get the payment you can schedule the interview at the embassy website. well, hope someone from mexico will tell you exactly how it was with mexican embassy)) but i guess the procedure is pretty similar in all consulates

good luck!!!

Not everyone can schedule their medical right away after getting the NVC number. In Spain you can't until you have the interview appointment, which you are not authorized to schedule either until you send them all the documents needed as stated when they send you packet 3.

I've read Mexico also needs to present the visa appointment letter at the medical. Hopefully someone from that country chimes in and can confirm :)

Everyone talks about how fast the process went for them after the NOA2... that's wonderful.... for them...

Our NOA2 was June 10th, the petition sat at the USCIS office for a month, finally got our NVC number a month later, then waited again to get the packet 4 info from the embassy, and then finally scheduled an interview for a month later, September 8th. NOA2 to interview is just 2 days shy of 2 months :(

This process is sssoooo frustrating and inconsistent. I'm ready for it to be over :bonk:

Hi All,

I  have been silent for a while but I wanted to let you know that the interview went well although it wasnt much of an interview. The consular that interviewed us said our interview will go down on record as the fastest interview she has ever conducted.

She asked us ony 2 questions.

1st question she asked my fiance  was - what kind of work he does.

2nd question was if he had kids. He said yes. I jumped in and said we have 2 together and told her their ages. She then took off her eyeglasses, closed the file and said "this interview is over. If you both have kids together there is nothing else to say to convince me about your relationship." She said the visa will be ready by the end of the week.

I realize there are a few still waiting on NOA2. All I can say is don't loose hope. I know it must be difficult but hold on. It may last long but not forever.

Girl I feel you!! The wait between NOA2 to interview for me was almost 3 months (May 19- Aug 9).  I think it was worse then the wait for the NOA2, since everyone said how fast it was supposed to go .   I was able to schedule an interview 3 weeks out when the time came (which is fine) but it was the wait until that point. I've seen others get through Montreal faster recently, so Im thinking it was just a bad time for me because of holidays. Regardless, I hope everyone else has a faster process after NOA2 than me!!  Luckily you only have a few more weeks!! How soon after is he able to move??

I just checked my informed delivery and I have a letter from USCIS. Not sure if it's good news or bad yet. I can see part of it next to my address that has a "No" and below it a "V". I'm hoping it's a noa2 after 199 days. It's going to drive me crazy until I can check the mail.
