My fiance passed her interview.  She said she overheard many people being denied so she was scared. I'm so happy she can finally come to America.

That is so concerning.  Wonder why they were being denied.  Really hope it was for really good cause rather than simply personal bias opinions.  It would break our hearts to no extent if we were denied to be together because of someone's personal belief or opinion.

Hi everyone! Today my visa was approved in Montreal, Canada!!  I found a cheap flight to Texas a few weeks ago, so I plan on leaving September 6th if everything goes smoothly.

That's wonderful news! Congratulations. So happy for you and your Fiancé. Our interview is this Wednesday. We're both nervous but in good spirits.

We got our interview scheduled for September 11 I can't wait.

I have all the papers ready, the only one that I'm missing is the bank letter. Do you guys know if printed statements are enough or do I need to have the letter for sure?

Also does the form
I-134 needs to be submitted anywhere or just sign it and bring it to the interview?

Thanks

In my experience, I didn't need the letter from the bank. They only asked for the letter from her employer. I took letters from the bank, bank statements etc anyway as you don't know what they might ask for, but it wasn't needed in my case.

The I-134 and the evidence is taken along and given in when you first get called to the window (well that's the process in London anyway).

It's 2 weeks already from the time they updated our case to RFE received. How long is the usual waiting for the response? And can I make an online inquiry even though I am the beneficiary? Thanks!

I'm very worried - http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?trim=no&cty=&cnty=Canada&page=1&dfilter=5&topic=

on the most recent review, apparently the interview is supposed to be booked as a non-immigrant visa. I think I booked mine as an Immigrant visa! This is confusing. How do you know which type it is booked as?! Can anybody from Canada help

The K1 is non-immigrant.  They will know that so hopefully everything will be fine.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

I called USCIS and spoke to tier 2 again just a few minutes ago. They still don't have an update on my case, except for the service request email I got saying  " we're actively working on your case" blah blah "you can expect a decision within 45 days" ARE U KIDDING ME.

Tier 2 officer says that's all the information he can get, and he sympathizes because his wife is Japanese and they went through the exact same thing. Haha

Wow, just got an email today.  After all this waiting and nothing, now they have the nerve to give me an RFE just to prolong this agony even longer.  Didn't even say what is was.  So have to wait for snail mail to see what I need to do next.

So excited to see so many people getting visas in their hands! :jest: My heart goes out to everyone still waiting for their NOA2. :(

My fiance is on his way to his medical exam now! He is freaking out because he found out he'll need to strip down to his birthday suit lol

Right now, our plan is that he'll give his work notice as soon as he has a successful interview (which is scheduled for September 8th). He has to give a month's notice at work and we don't want to wait around any longer than we have to. Hopefully we can still have our wedding on October 28th!

How did the medical go!? My fiance is going for his in New Delhi also so just wondering if the process went well. My F had to go back to his hometown for an emergency, but we're hoping we can schedule his medical and interview soon. I'll be there visiting from Sep 3 thru Oct 6 so I'm hoping we can still find an open interview date for before I have to leave Delhi!!

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

🤔🤐😫 they just moved the date back to January 1.  I quit trying to understand them a long time ago.  Why can't they just quit procrastinating and do their job.

They continue to process April filings like crazy and screw the rest of us that's been waiting forever.  Who is running that agency?
