Just got off phone with USCIS 46 days and counting on RFE response so frustrated same canned speech and rep refused to transfer to Tier 2 because they are busy. It seems USCIS is just sitting on RFE responses for February filers lol. If nothing is done by Friday I will contact congresswoman for an inquiry.

In fun news... My bridal shower is this month! Look what my matron of honor and bridesmaid created for the shower invites!! I was so touched - I actually started crying!

Yeah, not quite as exciting when you look at the map ;)  But we all know that, no matter the extent of the distance, any distance apart is too much.

I have heard that phrase from them also....along with "that's what we are here for" and "call anytime". Angus told me today that I needed to call back next week because "the hold time is very long and it wastes a lot of time" and I think he actually meant that.:D

I remember Angus, he was very nice.

Yep, you can google for your representative and most of them have information on their government website on how to contact them to look into immigration cases.

I am afraid the same thing will happen to me...

It looks like it takes 2 to 3 months to schedule the interview in Algiers....looks like I know what I'll be doing over thanksgiving break :P

Apparently, it's too much to ask that all embassies to follow the same guidelines/timelines or even be on the same page of the same rule book....what an f#%#ing nightmare.

Love that!!!!!

I agree.  I really don't understand why all US embassies don't follow the same processes and procedures.  I'm guessing it has something to do with agreements with the host country and technological integration with the US and NVC.  For London, everything has been super simple, completed all forms online, scheduled the interview online with plenty of available dates, and just had to make a phone call to schedule the medical.  I don't understand why it can't be the same for everyone else.

Did you complete the release on line? If so...your liason (the senator's office) will email back in a day or or two....
