Still waiting to get approved since Feb 8th.  Had to send in RFE in June.  So frustrating!  Does it help to call them and ask if everything is OK, or does it not make a difference?

I called them for the first time on 7th July. I was able to speak to a lady from Tier 2 who submitted an inquiry for me. She said I would get an email response from them within 2 weeks, and to call back if I that didn't happen in two weeks.

The second time I called was exactly two weeks later as I didn't receive any email. This time I didn't get to speak to Tier 2, and the girl I spoke to told me that the 2 weeks I was quoted was a target time for USCIS try to reply by, but that the actual target time for response is 30 days.

I still haven't any email from them, but maybe that could be why my case was approved on their case tracker??

Since I am not getting much help regarding my issue with the I-134 (I have asked in 6 different websites/forums/fb groups); can people tell me if you put the current years Income in Part 3, Question 3, or what was on your 2016 Income Tax? Seems people are split, yet the instructions stating that if you are self employed use the value from the previous year taxes. Would a Retiree be considered Self Employed, and they should use the 2016 amount or what they will receive in the currant year??????

We are also going to put there whatever amount the letter from employer shows, since that's the current income and we have a document to prove it (my fiance started a new job a year ago, so taxes are not accurate).

If you have any type of official document regarding 2017 income to back up the amount to consign there, then use that. If you don't, use taxes. I think that's the important part, to be able to show proof that it's not a random amount or estimate.

Good luck.

Since there is no letter, I will do this years SS amount, along with the letter he got from them in December listing  the increased amount for 2017. And I will also have him write a letter detailing 2016, and include all proofs (w2, tax transcript)

Fingers crossed.

Sounds to me you are good on documentary proof, so it shouldn't be a problem :)

Hello all, I remember someone from Canada posting on here about their case showing 'Ready' a few times, and the date kept changing on the CEAC tracker.... just trying to remember what that was about but I can't find it on here, was it on this thread?

I'm pretty sure it was me! It was probably in this thread but I do look at the other months as well so not 100% sure.

Believe I know...I told my fiance and told him ai was distressed and he says...get this..."well let me know if you wanna give up"....I was like yah...thats what I wanna hear.....then I write hime a bit later and say ...maybe we should think of a plan b if this doesnt work out....he says...u need to stop thinking of this and stop this in its roots...I don't wanna hear this after a tiring day......I told him I need to be alone....he said "me too, lets take a break"....so needless to say.....my moid is lower than ever...I did some  research on vj and some people get stuck in the security check for like up to a year....my only solace is that when the congresswoman got a response in latw june...we were still processing...so I'm hoping that ...as of the inquiry date ...july 10th maybe that when someone actually started the security clearance ...so maybe after 15 days...letter dated 25th...maybe it just wasnt enough time...on friday the rep said it has just been assigned so maybe I'm freaking out over nothing idk...but this feels like a black hole...still waiting on kamala ans feinstein and ombudsman...so so sad...I leave to see him in 10 days ...I was hoping for good news...now I just feel disconnected and hopeless

I certainly understand why you would feel hopeless, etc. I think everyone here understands. I am not an LDR type of person and these long periods apart test the limits of my endurance. Try to hang in there if you can is the only advice I can give. If you two are meant for each other, you will make it work.

I decided not to give K1 advice since there are many here much more aware than me. But as we have gone step by step through the process, I have seen how it affects us individuals and as a couple.

May I make a couple observations? I realize every person and couple are different.

This process has been very emotionally difficult for Wendy. As she experiences the joys of victory in passing her interview, receiving her Visa and others, I have had the pleasure of being by her side. As she experiences the sorrow of telling her family goodbye, I have been able to be her rock and give her the support she needs. Her family has given her special gifts and jewelry. I was able to experience her emotions by her side. Leaving her family is extremely difficult for her. I am a very lucky man. This is my fifth trip to Ecuador. Not only has my being here helped Wendy, but has given her family confidence in the man who is taking her 3,000 away. Her family and I are discussing future vacations, her cousin had taking me to dinner as we built a relationship. Since we LOVE our Fiancées, their families become ours. I imagine as we continue talking about her family, not only is she sharing memories about her family, but they are now intimately mine also.

We leave for the airport in 4 hours. As we wait for OUR COUSIN to take us to the airport, I thought I would send a quick thought.

Please, do what ever you need to do financially. Do not let them experience this event in their life without you by their side. I have dreamed of the day Wendy walks the first time through Miami Airport. In about 12 hours, it will no longer be a dream. I will be holding her hand as that dream becomes a REALITY!

GOD Bless You as you finish your VJ!

Wayne y Wendy

Hi guys i hope everything went well at the Port of Entry, i was just wondering how that process was for you guys since i will be doing the same with my fiancee next week but we are flying into Fort Lauderdale Airport.. did you go on the visitors one while coming in or the US Citizen line?  was the process fairly quick and simple?

Believe me I'm not either...this has def had an affect on my wellbeing in more ways than one...and his immature responses do not help...ty for the kind words...
