hi dhanu, welcome! =)

As of 24-Apr, 36 Feb filers have been approved already but some of these (about half) were probably expedited cases.

Thank you! Hope to hear something from USCIS soon!

Hello! Still trying to figure out how to use the forums properly. So please bear with me. :)

However, greetings everyone!

I also belong to the February 2017 filers but I am the beneficiary. :) My fiance (Actually his mom mailed it) filed the petition for me and our case was received by USCIS on February 14th. So we have received our NOA 1 and awaiting NOA2! It's a terrible wait and I'm losing my sanity every now and then but I know it has to be done so I keep myself busy and try to be more patient. I wish they processed the cases more faster!

Has any February filer got their NOA2?

Good luck to everyone of us in this waiting!

Dhanu xoxo

Mine was recieved on Feb. 14th as well.  Hopefully we only have another few weeks, but I'm mentally prepared for June, just in case, as there is still quite a few January filers waiting for news.

I see so many people getting stressed once they go over 90 days, so I am trying to save my sanity until 120 at least...... No promises it will work though haha 😝.  Thank you for doing the scans!! It definitely helps to see how many are being processed in February and when.

How "planned" is it (ie venue booked/ people booking flights?) I am *hoping* to be there in August or September, but hard to plan of course since the process differs so much for each person.  We are just having his father marry us since he is ordained and then they are having a reception for us a few weeks/ months later, and then I will have some family come for that.  I'm in Canada so luckily it's a little easier.

80% Planned, I'd say. The venue is booked and we just have to get a caterer and send out the invitations. But, of course, we are not doing any of that until we get the approval and my visa in hand. My fiance's family booked the venue but it's just a security deposit and his mom said don't worry even if we don't get approved by then we can still move the date around. She said not to worry about the deposit money but still, it's someone's hard earned money. :/ But, we are keeping our fingers crossed! :) We have also spoken to the officiant who is going to marry us.

That's nice your father is marrying you guys! You are definitely lucky!

It's so hard to know 😑.  I am going by my petition being approved in June, a month to get to embassy and then Canada seems to be booking 4-6 weeks in advance for the interview right now.   Plus a week to get the visa sent to me.  But of course maybe I will get an RFE or get stuck in the dreaded administrative processing 😩.  We have something we want to do the first weekend in October, so I'm just really hoping I'll be there for that.

Are you having a court wedding in VA? We are looking at going into DC court. I am in the same situation -  I want my parents here, but they already have a trip planned for October so we are not sure if the timeline will sync. We will be planning a party with them in Alaska hopefully next summer!

affidavit of support (not notarized?? Is it a problem?)

what else should I collect from him? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

The affidavit of support does not need to be notarized. I think you need the previous year tax return, so I would add 2016 tax return as well. I'm not sure what else you would need except for original copies of birth certificate, previous marriage/divorce certificates, police records. My fiance' is from Ecuador. I was able to find the list that the Embassy requires for the interview. You may want to search the embassy requirements for your country.

I'm in the process of gathering everything myself. Good luck!!
