Hey quick question.

You don't need the hep injections for the London medical, do you? I'm 99percent sure you don't but just want to make 100 percent sure.

Ps I've had my mmr, tdap, TB jab from school, and the other ones you get as a baby. It's not flu season yet so i haven't recieved that as I plan on having my medical before October :)

Also. Do you need to have had your interview at the embassy booked by the time you attend your medical?

Here is the vaccine chart for London:

https://uk.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2015/11/vaccine_chart.pdf

In terms of scheduling the interview, you don't have to have it scheduled at the time of the medical.  If you do wait until after the medical to schedule your interview, you might have to wait a bit for available interview dates depending on what's open.  As I'm sure you've read, you need to allow at least 5 working days between the medical and the interview to make sure your medical results arrive to the embassy in London before the interview.  Also, you do have the option of rescheduling your interview using the online tool at no additional cost as long as you are making the change a couple of days in advance.

K1 Condensed Timeline:

02/27/17 - I-129F sent; 03/10/17 - NOA1 hard copy received; 06/15/17 - NOA2 hard copy received; 07/16/17 - NVC processing completed; 08/24/17 - Interview (Approved); 09/04/17 - Visa in Hand; 10/26/17 - POE; 12/20/17 - Marriage

No, my fiance never got a packet either.  We just followed the direction on the net from NVC.  She did it all.  Personally, we don't know anyone recently who applied for K1 from the phils who got a packet in the mail.  They all just made appointments and such through the net.

I've never had a hep injection and the nurse dealing with the vaccinations in London said I was all "All up to date" for the Adjustment of Status application. So it doesn't seem like it's necessary, at least not at this stage. (Might be for AoS, I do not know).

If I'm not misremembering thigns; You need to have your medical booked to book the interview. So medical needs to be booked first.

Which means there's no way for you to have the interview appointment at that point in time.

I found this helpful: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Good luck

Thank you for your replies. Yeah i read the chart of vaccinations needed. I've heard some people got their hep injections but then i was confused as it says I don't need them (I'm 27). 😊

Yeah i wasn't  sure if I needed to have my interview booked when i attended the medical. But if I can just book it after then that's ok. I'm ok with waiting a few weeks anyway. As with my work I couldn't go down the following week. Id have to give it a few weeks. I'm hoping to book my medical for the end of August if possible and then wait a few weeks for my interview. Waiting on paperwork from my fiance to arrive to. Thanks for the replies. Sometimes the internet websites can be slightly confusing so I thought it is best to ask people who have already been through it themselves  ☺☺

Happy to help.  If you're wanting to book your medical for the end of August, you probably have a little time to call and make that appointment.  From what I've read from others, the medical appointments can sometimes be booked 2-3 weeks out so just keep that in mind.  Since you already have your NVC case number, you can ring Knightsbridge and tell them what day you would like the medical.

On the DS-160, what did everyone say for "Are there other persons traveling with you?" I will likely have some of my family with me but not entirely sure yet.

I think so. Under 18s are required for one of them. I didn't want any Injections I didn't need to get. Already nervous about having to have my blood taken. 😅😅😅😂

On my way to the mailbox today I tried to remind myself not to worry, not to be upset....that it would be here sooner or later. That the NOA2 did in fact exist and I would sooner or later receive mine  (because almost everyone will). I have to admit....it gets harder to convince myself day after day after day.

I opened the mailbox and grabbed the usual daily mail....pizza coupons and catalogs....and there it was. The Department of Homeland Security. The coupons and catalogs fell to the ground as I ripped opened the letter.....

Approved y'all. 169 days and today I received my NOA2.

Approved

Oh this is wonderful. I have been checking in on you late February Filers. This gives me hope that eventually that mail will come. HUGS Congrats so happy you finally got it. :)

I started out with the January filers but since my received date was in January and my NOA1 date was in February and most the January people left me behind and got approved before me, I moved into the February thread. I had just moved into the March thread a few days before I was approved. I had accepted that I was in for the long haul. The wait was tough so I always enjoy seeing other people's wait end. I think I waited 131 days, which wasn't as bad as the wait of some of these other incredibly strong people here.

You did very well. :) I am at Day 131 from Notice and Day 134 from Received. :) Someday my golden wonka ticket will come too. LOL
