On my way to the mailbox today I tried to remind myself not to worry, not to be upset....that it would be here sooner or later. That the NOA2 did in fact exist and I would sooner or later receive mine  (because almost everyone will). I have to admit....it gets harder to convince myself day after day after day.

I opened the mailbox and grabbed the usual daily mail....pizza coupons and catalogs....and there it was. The Department of Homeland Security. The coupons and catalogs fell to the ground as I ripped opened the letter.....

Approved y'all. 169 days and today I received my NOA2.

Approved

I cannot say this Big Enough......  CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

This certainly is the BEST news today on VJ :)

strange, but the status changed already to administrative processig...

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV.

have no idea what it means...but think we just should wait for e-mail from embassy, right?

That is strange.

I was thinking snail mail because we didn't tell embassy or USCIS the alien fianceZ's email, only postal address.

when i checked my nvc status back in June I saw that my case was saying ready only after one day my fiance called and asked for our case number, my status went overnight from " at NVC"  to "READY" we didn't have " in Transit " status at all :) after I guess 3 days my fiance ( petitioner) received an email with packet 3( not me) and he sent it to me :)

Thanks for clarifying!

I was just wondering that this afternoon.  How many are still holding the mailbox handle?

Today was a good day on VJ, as I caught 10 NOA2's coming across.  Hopefully more will come in tonight, and they continue to clean up before moving onto Apr.

I started out with the January filers but since my received date was in January and my NOA1 date was in February and most the January people left me behind and got approved before me, I moved into the February thread. I had just moved into the March thread a few days before I was approved. I had accepted that I was in for the long haul. The wait was tough so I always enjoy seeing other people's wait end. I think I waited 131 days, which wasn't as bad as the wait of some of these other incredibly strong people here.

Yep, I remember.  I remember you posting a '125 day and counting' in the March thread.  When I read it, I thought how that could be me lol.  Ironic, you got approved at the 125 day mark (the day you posted in disgust was the day you got approved).  Today is my day 125.  Another irony - here we sit on opposite sides of NVC.  However, I still have faith it will come, and believe that perhaps there is a reason for everything, and maybe that reason is to stand back here and encourage others.  I'm happy to wait for the golden ticket, as long as those left behind are being brought forward.  My hat is off to you, I've seen you help and encourage countless.  I'm right behind you, because we all are here for a reason, to bring a loved one near.  Thanx for letting me ride on your coat tails :D

Don't hate me for saying this, but I wouldn't mind if they moved to April before aaaall the older cases were cleaned up. After all, that was the normal thing happening with previous months :P

Now seriously, I wish everyone to be approved soon, but for us Aprilites it seems we have been waiting forever, always saying this has to be the week things start to move... And nothing yet. But ok, I'm willing to keep waiting. Just really hope they are playing some serious catch up and things keep moving forward in more of an orderly manner from now on.

Good luck to everyone! :)
