Thank you! Best of luck to you as well!  Where in Texas will you be living? I will be living in the Dallas area. I hope we don't melt! Lol.  I am headed there next week.... But so far I have only been there in the "cooler" months (November and February).

Thank you so much. We will be in between Austin and San Antonio. I'm looking forward to never having to go through a winter again lol. I know what you mean though, I haven't been in the summer months yet. Only November to January. I am actually going fo a week in May, can't wait.

Today i looked back at the January 2017 and December 2016 forums and thought to myself that we are so lucky!

We have a few cases that have been approved already and no one is over 90 days yet.

From December they have had 1946 cases approved, sounds great right?  But there are nearly as many RFEs and almost 700 that have yet to be touched.  44% have been approved overall!

January has had 539 Approved, 134 RFEs, 9 RFEs have been returned with more evidence, and 2358 have yet to be touched.  17% have been approved overall.

When we think it has been a long wait for us already,  we should think there are so many people that have waited over 60 days longer than we have and are still waiting.

When I see these February approvals I just say Thank you!  (and about 10 seconds later I say out loud... Why do we have to wait so damn long!!) :D

Has anyone reached out to any government officials for assistance?

I have read than most in congress wont inquire unless you are past the normal time, and that doesnt help anyway.

I would hope if is more than one adjudicator we would see more approvals.

another thing worth noting is that all these approved cases so far have case numbers that are very close to each other...which most likely mean they were all put into one box when they were sorted.

My number is right in the middle of the approved numbers!! We're hopeful! I told him to get his police clearance soon and I'll be sending him the financial proof this week.

My case was received on 2/2/17 and still no change. I wonder if it is because Cuban cases might take longer?

Nope, it's just how this process works.  I believe, including the expedited cases, only 30 of about 3500 cases have been approved.  Plus, there are still many filers from December and January awaiting approval.  We really have no idea how they choose which box gets worked on next, how the boxes are sorted, etc., so I think it's just up to chance that a box with some 2/6 files got pulled first and are being worked on.  My received date is 2/28 and I'm really not expecting an approval until the end of May/beginning of June.  If it comes sooner, it will be a nice surprise, but from watching these forums for awhile I've learned that it's just best to assume this whole process is going to take the longest time possible in each step.  That way, I at least am not watching the days pass as much and constantly checking my status :)

I feel your divorce pain!! We wanted to file earlier too but my divorce took forever to finally go through.  At least we have lots of practice in the waiting game. It seems theyre making a big push for the December cases right now and then I think they'll be mostly doing January's with February seeing some slow movement in the next few weeks (similar to what january Has been seeing recently).
