How did they notify you? Yeah! Hoping for a response soon. I checked USCIS website but they didn't update it yet even though they received it. Upon checking on ups delivery it's already there.

Just checked the uscis website when it alerted us that there's an update last june 5th after that we're just surprised that we're approved via snail mail

After 34 days, I FINALLY got a different response to "Has my case been received"!!!!! As soon as she asked our names and his DOB, I knew that it was FINALLY in their hands. Our petition was received today and assigned a case number today!!!!! I am sssoooo relieved - I was beginning to worry that it was lost somewhere. Now on to Delhi!

Thanks, @RaptureSongbird and @TriloByte for your encouragement!! :D

That is such great news!  I've been tracking my case all week at NVC and it still says "At NVC".  Hopefully it'll ship out soon.

Recieved our case number tonight from the NVC. Although still says "at NVC". The lady said it hadn't been fully created yet, but will be sent to London soon once it has.

Question: does anyone know if they mail this to London or is everything sent through email?

Ps. It was my first call to the nvc. And I think they must have just recieved it. 16 days since we got approved.

From my understanding they send the packets to the embassies via DHL.

We are in the same boat. I have been very patient until yesterday when they updated the processing times beyond our Feb 2nd date.

I hope we both hear something soon!

I am in that boat with you. They received mine February 2nd.

I requested an inquiry....they told me I would hear something in 2 weeks.

Am I correct to wait until the NVC says ready to submit the DS160?

I don't think you have to because my fiance received our case number in an email and in that email it said I could.go ahead and fill it out.  I submitted it after reading that and the tracker only changed to ready a week later.

Hi - great question!

I would imagine that a visa would be guaranteed, if everything else is in order. My fiance is in a similar position. He has been travelling to the US  for more that 24 years (before we met) mainly for business and never had to stay for more than a week - until he met me ^_^

I don't think you need to worry. If you/your fiance answer the questions OK (they mainly look for inconsistency) and you can prove that you have a bonafide relationship, then you'll be fine.

Good luck!

Thanks for your response ... my interview is coming up on Friday and I'm overthinking and analyzing even tho I have everything in order and I'm trying to find things to comfort my mind lol.... I just want this process to be over so I can be with my pooh! Thanks again

Hey guys I have a question do yall think someone who has a travel visa for more than 20 years (renewed once) and travelled multiple times on it and never overstayed on any given trip has a safer chance doing the fiance visa process or to some extent is guaranteed an approval once the interview questions are answered 'correctly'  ??

I think you will have a better chance of getting approved for a few reasons. The main one is that the K1 interview will be mostly about whether or not you meet the requirements for that specific visa, by proving you are going to marry legally and as part of a genuine relationship. Your travel history, visas included, won't dictate your eligibility for this particular visa unless there are obvious red flags (overstays, denied visas, previous K1 attempts etc etc).

I was a little concerned about this too as I've traveled double-digit times in the past few years, on two different visas and an ESTA, but if you've always traveled lawfully your travel history will actually work in your favor, not against it, by virtue of you proving to be a law-abiding traveler! Good luck with your interview!

I totally understand. This journey has been a roller-coaster ride and like you, I too can't wait for it to be over to finally be with our love.

Oh thanks! Haha. I thought so. Because when you get interviewed they have all your details there in paper. So I assumed they got it by post. But had seen a comment that they recieved by email. So wasn't sure. Thank you 😁
