@TriloByte just curious, i know yours is ready now. Have you booked your interview / medical, if so was there a lot of available dates for London or is there quite a wait? Such as waiting till August?

We have booked the medical for July 20th and we had some questions about scheduling the interview (my fiancee wanted to call the embassy and make sure about what option (the correct option is the K option) to select on the first page of the interview scheduler online). That should be done today at some point. The medical had the earliest available about 2 - 3 weeks out. The Interview, I have heard, has more slots available. Will let you know the outcome of that.

It's best to read the embassy site and pretty much memorize it all. You should book your interview at least 1 - 2 weeks after your medical because if you get to the interview before the medical results are at the embassy it causes issues.

Yeah, I'm wondering if there were some layoffs at USCIS around the beginning of the year that messed up February somehow since so many people from March are already getting approvals.

Of course I'm going to ignore the 2-3 weeks and call tomorrow :D  As soon as we have the LND number, I'm going to have my fiance call and schedule his medical for as early in August as possible so then he can have his interview later in August if there are dates still available.  Assuming everything goes alright with that, then I'll buy our tickets once he has his passport back in hand.

Right now I'm planning on flying into Heathrow on September 30th and the both of us flying back to the states on October 6th.  If some of us UK filers are still in the UK during that time it might be fun to have a meet up!

Lol yeah if i was you i would definitely ignore the 2-3 week wait. I'm excited for you! :D

That's what I'm panicking about, the NVC stage as its looking like its taking everybody over a month, if i got my approval this week then i could possibly (and I'm really stretching that 'possibly') be there for October but i'm honestly just losing hope now. We are still awaiting for a response of our enquiry we made last week. My flight is already booked for October so i just checked the airline and it looks like there isn't a charge to change the dates which was a relief.

It's so unfair isn't it :(, have you tried calling USCIS at all?

Keep in mind that when you get your NOA2, generally it's been in the mail for a week or more. The average wait for NVC received is 21 days. Subtract 7 days from 21 and you have about 14 days till NVC received after NOA2 (after you are ACTUALLY notified of NOA2).

From what I've read, you can get the necessary vaccinations during your medical appointment if needed at an additional cost.  Your embassy site should have information on the ones that are specifically required if you don't have the vaccination records.  Also, technically, vaccinations don't have to be done at the medical exam in order to move forward with the K-1 and interview.  If you don't do them at that time, though, you will have to pay to get them done in the states before moving forward with the AOS.

K1 Condensed Timeline:

You will want to either find the vaccination records or get them all again NOW before you get to the Embassy stage. If she has to get all of the vaccinations, some you get, and then must do a booster a month later. If you don't act now, you will end up delaying your process. This pretty much goes for all the other things that the Embassy requires. It's best to use this time that you're waiting for NOA2 to get everything that required squared away.

The average wait from NVC ready till Visa in hand is 2 months. You can speed that up if you have all required documents, vaccinations, etc done when you enter into the Embassy stage.

True, but it costs a fortune if they do it at the medical. In the UK it's free if you do it before you get there :)

Hahaha! We called every Monday and Friday since the last 2 months
Last Friday the Tier 2 guy sounded like was his 1st day at work, hahaha! He said they were doing the final review... but as I said, he didnt sounded like he knew much about anything.
The congressman also requested a full inform in our case. Told us USCIS have to reply to him within 15 days, that was last week.

Sooooo, more waiting and waiting!

That's true. :)  My fiance is on the hunt for his vaccination records and will hopefully get them when he goes back to Romania in a couple of weeks to get all the paperwork he needs (police certificate, medical letter, birth certificate, hopefully the vaccination records, etc.).  If he doesn't find them, then I think we're just going to skip them for the K-1 process and get them done here.  As soon as we're married I can immediately get him set up on my health insurance, get him registered for a doctor here, and get the vaccinations done at almost no cost here.  Since he's currently not registered for a GP in the UK, I don't want to add any more delays with getting that set up there.  I need him to get his Visa in hand asap before plane tickets start climbing higher in price :D
