Day 152

I called USCIS today....

Same old thing "normal processing times"

I barely held it together on the phone...

I understand your frustration with this system.

What I noticed with my petition is that when I got very close to that day flipping to Jan 15th, I got the approval. I am sure they round up all the slackers that are about to let petition fall behind that date and tell them to get the approvals out. That's my guess. Maybe I am right and you will be approved soon.

Hello everyone! March filer here.. I just want to know if anybody here got the same problem with ours.. We already have our NOA2.. I called the NVC yesterday for my case number, they couldn't give it to me since the date of birth did not match. :(( they are asking me to email them a copy of my birth certificate and passport, I already did that right away.. Now, I want to know if someone has encountered the same case with me? How did it take until you get an update? Did you still get a hardcopy of the NVC letter containing the NVC number? Please help me. :(( It's so frustrating already..

I just received a text from the USCIS telling me there is an update to my case and to check the case status on their website. I was very excited to do so because it has been 17 days since the case status was updated with a statement saying they received my evidence from the rfe. When I press the link and submitted my receipt number to check the case status it is exactly the same case status that I've had for 17 days.  So much for technology.

hi, we got the same text about updates...but no update at the website (says the same - that they recieved response to RFE)(...my fiance thinks it means we are approved....but then why they did not sent the text about approval?

Thank you so much. I am still speechless and I cannot believe that just happened. I am still skeptical at the moment.

The tier 1 person that I spoke to earlier told me that my "I130" was approved last July 10 which was obviously the wrong information. He apologized for his mistake and I told him that he made me excited for a second of his "wrong" information. He told me that mine was still pending and gave me the usual (within the processing time, still processing January 15 cases, every case is different, call again in a month) BS!. I told him that several march filers and even April filers got their approvals already and also told him that the online tracker is not working. I asked him that could it be that my case was approved a long time ago and the letter got lost in the mail - he could not answer my question so he transferred me to a tier 2 officer. Tier 2 called me back 2 hours later. She asked for my information and confirmed that I filed for I-129F (asked for my fiancee's full name and DOB and country) After verifying everything, she told me that my case was approved today. I told her to look at it again and make sure since the person that I spoke to earlier gave me the wrong information. She sounded so serious and did not even laugh. She said that her job is to give out correct information and whatever she says is the right info. I told her that I understand that, I just needed her to check again my name and my fiancee's name if it says approved on their system. She said "I told you and I am telling you again, your petition was approved today".

Should I celebrate or wait for the letter?

Congrats!! You should recieve a letter Very soon! My fiance recieved our letter a week after we were approved. Snail mail sucks! You over the first hurdle now though!

Our nao2 has the same date! They don't update the case checker now. We just have to wait for mail or to call the nvc and ask for case number. When you going to Call? Im giving it a couple of weeks

Hey trilobyte...do you think you could run a scan for me that shows march and possibly april approvals so i can take it to infopass and call their bluff?

Two problems with that.

1) All of the scanners are sourced from the checker which USCIS stopped updating for approvals.

2) These scanners that scan the whole lot need an initial set of case numbers. That can be obtained by scanning across tens of thousands of cases to get the initial set or someone who already did that would have to provide me with that set. I only have Jan and Feb. Doesn't matter anyway because of point 1 😁

I think this is maybe why they intentionally stopped updating approvals

I have the numbers for April if that was necessary, but I can already tell you they are not working in our month yet. There was a case randomly approved and it didn't show in the case tracker. There's also a case that shows as approved there, that has to be an expedited (24 April received date, 15 June Approved). I think come to this point, the only thing to prove they are working there would be via RFE's, since that apparently updates more often...

I just saw what someone posted...that would be proof...should we try? If they have the number...rfe's are proof they are being processed right?
