Omg! My fiancé just found out that NVC has assigned our case number!! Yay 😀 Now that we have a case number, what's next? Our case status says, "at NVC" Is it too early for me to fill-up my visa application DS-160? I've read somewhere on this thread that once we have the case number we can begin filling-up the form. What else can I do while we wait for it to reach the embassy? Do I have to wait for the instructions via mail/snail mail on what to send back to NVC - fir packet 3. So excited guys! And here's hoping that the rest of those waiting hear good news soon! 😀

Hello! I just received snail mail. For us it took less than two weeks after USCIS got our RFE response. After that I was waiting one week, called NVC and get our case number. I was so happy!!!1. But now it seems we "stuck" in US embassy in Moscow.  Maybe  I just lost my patient))). The US embassy got our case on Monday,  July 3, but no any e-mail for me that we can schedule interview. In meanwhile we fill out DS-160, planning to pay for visa, and I am going to send e-mail to US embassy about case.

I hope you will receive your NOA2 in this week or next.

hi! thank you) wish you goodluck! for me it seems after noa2 everything is much faster, and i even agree to get stuck at embassy or nvc...they got our RFE 22 june, so exactly 2 weeks and still no reply...i just cant understand why it takes so long...we had just orthographic mistake (RFE), and my fiance called them twice already and they told - yep, you will get it soon...but still nothing!

it seems like now Moscow embassy waiting time is about 40 days, maybe less. Please, fill in your timeline, so we can see your speed in future) you are going to finish this frustrating process much faster than we!)))

Also, how do we send packet 3? Scanned copies of the docs they request & do we give the financial supporting docs at this stage? Thanks :-)

Today is day 133. :crying:

What is 'normal processing time' ? Just the date they are up to in their processing times? or a certain amount of days?

They go off the date from their website. Right now it has the date up to January 15 for CSC and by the middle of the month they will most likely update it to February 15.

Well they were at Jan 15 in the beginning of June, and the end of June. I hope to see it jump a full month. Congressman's office has received our privacy release forms and told me they have sent over an inquiry to the USCIS. Hoping to hear something more than normal processing times

Called them today. Said they're still processing cases from Jan 15 even though people with NOA1 from March/April are being processed. Sigh.

It's so infuriating that they think it's ok to give us that answer each time we call, even after we tell them that we know indefinitely that they are processing march they must think we are so stupid :ranting:

Just out of curiosity (as you all know from my moaning I'm not at this point yet), anyone from the UK do we actually receive packet 3 or is it a case of calling NVC and getting our case number and then once its 'ready' we fill out the DS-160 and then pay the fee and schedule our medical and interview.

Whilst I'm going stir crazy, i thought it would be a good idea to write down a step by step of what i need to do once i get the phantom letter. :D

This is something I could do with knowing as well. I'll be going to London too for medical and interview. I do, however, think what you have said is right but not 100 percent sure either lol

I have a question about the I-134.  The instructions say:

"If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks 'Provide the name of your current spouse'), type or print 'N/A,' unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, 'How many children do you have' or 'How many times have you departed the United States'), type or print 'None,' unless otherwise directed."

I typed out the affidavit in the PDF file itself.  For most questions I cannot put "N/A" or "None" because of how the PDF is set up and won't allow for certain characters.  Would it be alright to just type in the "N/A" or "None" with a pen or is it better to just leave them blank?  What did you guys do?

Thanks!

Not sure if we are doing it right because our lawyer is useless, but our case just turned to ready and we did the ds-160 today and tomorrow we will schedule the medical, submit the readiness form and then schedule the interview and pay the fee all on the same day. There was no packet.
