once you get your NVC case number, use that to track the movement of your case from NVC to your embassy. here is where you can track. https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

once your case reaches your embassy, then the embassy will send you (or your petitioner) with instructions on how to do / schedule your medical and interview. some embassies refer to this as packet 3, while some others do not have a name for it. also some embassies just email, while some others sends through snail mail....it just depends on the embassy.

I don't really understand either.  Our Status says Ready on NVC site. Haven't heard from the embassy yet, but I sent an email to them today so might hear from them tomorrow. Not sure what I need to do?!

I agree. I thought once your status says Ready, you call the embassy to schedule an appointment and they send u Packet 3 afterwards. At least for the US embassy in my country. Because they tell you where to go for the medical examination. So i know Packet 3 (or whatever it's called) has that information. I repeat... US embassy in my country.

Yeah. I'm hoping to hear something from my embassy soon. I requested in the email to notify me if the consulate has received our petition.

I just called the NVC for the first time and spoke to a very pleasant agent.  My approval notice date was 06/09 and she told me that they have not received my case yet.  I know there are a few of us in this topic with the same approval date so I wanted to let those of you know that it's likely they haven't received our cases yet.  I think I've read in a few places that they tend to get shipped in batches so I thought I'd post an update here.  I might try to call again on Thursday of this week but, as I'll be on a road trip helping a friend move from IL to CA, I'll have to see if I can.  It's also a little tempting to swing by the USCIS "pyramid" once I get to CA and yell from the road for those who still haven't been approved here.  :D

I am also approval on June 9th. I called today (Tuesday) and they said they received it yesterday and gave me the number. So try again :)

I did this for Ecuador. You can! I made a big mistake that has cost me a delay and $100's . I urge you to be a little patient. The Packet will come in 24-48 hours.

For London the packet 3 is an email. So yes, you can go ahead and book.

It all depends on the consulate :)

Wow, what at tip! Really curious how you figured this out. After calling every day and getting no answer, the agent was able to confirm that the NVC has my case.

Here's everything the agent told me:
* They marked my case "as a priority for processing" (I think those were his words) on June 16th (NOA2 on June 2nd).

* It takes two weeks for a case number to get assigned (I think that means two weeks from June 16th for me).

* It is indeed getting entered into the new electronic system.

Initially the agent thought I was calling to ask about an I-130; I assumed he'd tell me to hang up when I said I was calling to get the status of my I-129f, but instead he said "oh, a K1 visa? One moment..." and began looking it up.

Does anyone know if this means our case will get electronically transferred to the embassy?

Happy to get some kind of confirmation that our case is still being processed.

Update: got two emails from the NVC! One said it's been forwarded to the embassy in Brazil, the other said the embassy has approved it for expedited processing... just like the previous posters mentioned.

Thank you, very helpful! Did you wait until London has received the case before you booked?
