Hey All, iam February Filers too, any new update here about NOA2 ..

Thankyou

-Maria-

Honestly, I have no clue. I filed in early-mid feb. and my date on my timeline keeps getting pushed back so I wonder if the processing time has now increased? Don't know what to expect if you guys are saying Jan filers have been getting approved. What do you all think?

Thanks!

Yes, the average processing time has increased, and probably for a variety of reasons. The estimates given by the website are based on the people filling out their timelines. But not everyone who files for a visa has a timeline here, and a given petition can take less than the average or far longer than the average to be processed. The government says it can take up to 6 months. They don't update their website until they have completely processed all the petitions received on the date they list. Their website currently says October 15, even though the majority of applications being processed are probably in the second half of December to the first half of January, according to VJ timeline estimates. That means that some people who filed in October and November are still waiting, even though there are others who filed after they did who have been fully approved already.

What could some of the reasons for the average length of time increasing? People rushing to file before the fee increased, some cases being more difficult than others to process, the "extreme vetting" guidelines, people quitting their job and a new person not being hired to replace them because of the hiring freeze the president ordered the day after he was sworn in (although, if a story I read yesterday is true, that freeze is going to be lifted).

It sucks that we have to wait, but eventually we will hear something, and most of us will have a happy ending. Even if it takes a few more weeks or even a few more months than we expect.

Great response! Hopefully they are able to work through and process our applications accordingly and in a timely manner. Hope people start hearing back soon enough! ☺️

Thanks!

US Goverment workers (I am a local gov employee and follow the same holiday schedule) do not have any holidays again until the end of May. Good news for us all who are waiting patiently. I still think they are still focused on finishing a very large December group of Visas, and I am excited to see they have worked as many January apps. I think that everyone will feel a lot better when they are doing a 100 apps every few days.

this data is from the scans of the USCIS website. i got a copy of the script from another VJ user who created it...the script runs batch scans on the USCIS website, the results are written into this CSV file.

Just a conversation starter for fun... Does anyone have any tentative wedding plans?

I know with the visa process, nothing regarding a date can be set in stone, but I have a few things under way. We have a tentative date on the calendar, but my pastor knows the situation and is aware that we might need to change the date depending on the visa. Since we are getting married in the Catholic church, we started our official marriage preparations, classes, and so forth. I have my wedding dress and the colors/theme is picked out (red, black, and gold, if anyone wants to know ;) ). I started the guest list and everyone knows the date is TBD with a possibility of a last-minute announcement. It is going to be very small and intimate - around 30 guests, one matron of honor and one best man. We are hopeful that the wedding can take place between October-December. At least we can hope that we will celebrate Christmas and start the new year as husband and wife :D

Good convo!  We are over just over the (hopfully) halfway point and time has really started to drag the past few days!

We will be doing a court house ceremony here in VA with a couple close friends.  I am originally from Alaska, so we are going to plan to have a celebration with family and friends there at a later time.  We will also be planning a vow renewal in Peru with his family probably around our year anniversary!  I am a nervous wreck when it comes to planning things TBD :) so this is the best solution for us.  It will be easier to plan and organize everything once he is here and we are married.

Your ceremony sounds great! What are your colors and such?
