And, meanwhile, our case still is listed as 'received' on the tracker, my fiancée told me tonight. Crazy, crazy, crazy! As if this process wasn't stressful/chaotic enough.

Congrats to us, pizzaislife!

Quick question. What is the NVC phone number that people here have had success with (the phone agent saying received)?

I was calling (603) 334-0888 every other day, and always received good service saying sir/ma'am after everything. Always called before 7:30am Pacific time and never was on hold more than 20 minutes.

I just received the same message. Although the embassy is Montreal, CAN and not Buenos Aires. I have no clue what's going on, and I certainly didn't request it to be expedited either.

Maybe that means they're finally testing the new electronic system?

Either way, I'm happy!

I got the same email, and was told by phone that it was going to be an electronic transfer between NVC and my embassy. So I guess you are right!

Just curious how long was it between receiving your NOA2 and receiving the NVC letter? Still currently waiting on our NVC letter :/

Our application arrived at the Embassy in Colombia at the beginning of the week and we were just e-mailed the Packet 3/4 today.  I still haven't received a physical letter in the mail yet.

We tried both. Around 7am when they first open is the best time to call. That's when we got hold and someone informed us of our case being received and of the case number as well. Good luck!

Ours still says received at nvc. I'm waiting the status to change to "in transit" then to "ready". 😁

Does anyone know what the difference between the DS-160 and DS-260?  For the Colombian embassy in Bogotá the embassy requires us to fill out the DS-260 but it seems that most of the February files are filling out the DS-160 for their respective embassies.

To anyone who is waiting the NVC #, I would like to share this with you:

If you're an electronic case, make sure you're calling the immigrant line 603-334-0700, then press 5. If not, the agent you speak with will not able to see your file and keep telling you they haven't receive your case yet.

Below link is referring to the CR1 filers, but confirmed with NVC that they are already started with K1 Visa a month ago.

I have a couple questions about the I-134 Affidavit.  Currently, I am a substitute teacher for multiple school districts in the county where I live.  There is a county Educational Services Center that I signed up through but I was not technically employed by that particular center.  I am employed by each individual school district.  I do have three employment letters from three different school districts (even though I subbed at more than just those three).  Each substitute job is temporary on a needed basis and each school has a different pay rate per day, but you can do this job full time 5 days a week (but I don't any way of proving that).    Last year I was working in Colombia and didn't make enough to have to file federal taxes (not sure if this information helps or not).

  1. How should I go about putting this information down on Part 3. 1.a.1  about Name of Employer and the current employer address?  Should I list all three or will just one suffice?
  2. What should I put down for the annual income?  I'm not sure I can put down something that is calculated and I won't risk it unless I know that is indeed acceptable.  Otherwise, how should I answer?

Questions not related to the financial sections of the I-134.

  1. Off topic, for Part 2. Information about the Beneficiary, do we put down the A-number that we received on the NOA2 for the beneficiary?
  2. For the beneficiary's children, my fiancée has two children but only one of them is coming to the US under her K-1 visa.  Should I put both of the children down or just the one coming the US?  I want to be careful about this one too!

Thanks so much! :)
