Quick question. What is the NVC phone number that people here have had success with (the phone agent saying received)?

603 334-0888 - They told us it has been received, but no case number assigned yet. Ours is going through the electronic process. If you come through to a girl named Amy, she must not have a clue about the electronic system because she always says it hasn't been received yet... any other agent says it was received on 9 June :) still waiting for the case number...

They don't update the case tracker 😒 They only update it to "recieved" and nothing beyond for a RFE- mine was recieved 25th may.

it was approved on 5th June but we didn't get the letter until the 9th!

that tracker doesn't like good news!

Aah So it stays in "additional evidence was mailed"?

Ohh even more nerve racking now! That's two weeks you waited? Congrats on the approval! Did you not get any emails or texts either? ( the petitioner)

Youll be fine - don't stress!! I know it's easy to say but you'll be fine (I've been there- I know)

Hello everybody I have a question, my fiancé received a letter from NVC and in this letter I found a link, I opened this link and I wrote my number case, and it shows me  my case is READY, in other words, it arrived to the embassy in country, my question is I called my embassy of appointment and they said I need to pay 265$ for this appointment and register in a website, after that I can program my appointment. I am not sure if I need to pay, I felt DS 160, my attorney told me I need to wait, but I am not sure. Please someone received her letter with the date for the appoiment?? If yes, please tell me if in the requirement you need to pay 265$ and feel DS 160.

I will be very greatful fot your help.

Thank you!

I'm not sure if we have the same process, but here in the Philippines, we have to pay that same amount, $265, first before we can schedule an interview with the embassy.  Also, the DS-160 needs to be filled out online before the interview.

Hope you get everything in order.

Just got an email and am a bit confused. I called the NVC three or so days ago, and they said they hadn't gotten to our case yet. We weren't even in the system, supposedly. I want to update my timeline, because it keeps me on track/sane. What exactly is this (consulate received?) the email that states:

Dear Madam:

The IV Unit in Buenos Aires received the I-129F petition that you filed for your fiancée. Please find attached the instructions and information to apply for the visa...

I think that means your application is ready for processing and that you can now schedule an interview with them. :)  Congratulations and lots of luck on the interview! :)

Thanks. So in other words, if they tell me it's not received, it might be untrue and it's possible that my fiancee might get a letter in the mail from the embassy while we think we are still waiting on NVC?

And it just gets weirder...just got two more emails, one that states:

"The U.S. Embassy in BUENOS AIRES, ARG approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your petition to this U.S. Embassy for their action. The Embassy will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview."

We never asked for our case to be expedited! I mean, it's great, but what the devil is going on?

Yes that's correct, just depends on who you speak with!

Im unsure about the letter in the mail. I'm temporarily living in Australia and we have yet to receive any mail from the embassy

I just received the same message. Although the embassy is Montreal, CAN and not Buenos Aires. I have no clue what's going on, and I certainly didn't request it to be expedited either.

Maybe that means they're finally testing the new electronic system?

Either way, I'm happy!

Just curious how long was it between receiving your NOA2 and receiving the NVC letter? Still currently waiting on our NVC letter :/
