Thankyou so much for your kind words, i keep reminding myself that it can be any day now and i'll be with him by October (hopefully). When i received my NOA2 i think the whole world is going to know about it haha

I don't think you'll have any problem being together by October.  It seems like it's taking about 2.5 weeks to get the case number from NVC after NOA2 right now.  After you have that, then things will move quickly.  I think there was a post earlier in this topic where someone said they were easily able to schedule their medical in London in July and there were plenty of interview dates and times still left to choose from for July and that August wasn't even open yet.  So, let's just say you don't get approved for another 2 weeks, thinking worst case scenario here of course but obviously want you to have your approval this week.  That would put your NOA2 on July 5th, a case number for NVC around July 24th, at which time you'll be able to complete the DS160 and finish gathering all the paperwork you need for yourself and your fiance, schedule the medical for early/mid-August and also maybe the interview before the end of August.  I don't see any problem with October for you still.

Tomorrow my fiance and I are going to discuss a timeline and final plans but I'm hoping to get his medical scheduled for the end of July and then interview in early August.  This way I'll be able to buy our plane tickets (I'm going to fly to London, spend a few days helping him pack up, and then we're going to fly back together) for sometime at the end of September/beginning of October and not have to pay as much money since I'll still be buying the tickets about 6-8 weeks before travel.

talked to him and he just asked for a supervisor.  sorry.  but i'm sure it'll be there soon.  hang in there.  just try to busy yourself with some hobby to take your mind off this.  but also, let your fiance call again and nicely ask tier 1 to transfer you to a tier 2.  maybe tell them that there were applications after you that have received their NOA2 already.

Never mind, thank you anyway :)

That's what i was thinking last night, i worked out a rough timeline and like you say, if i get my NOA2 in the next couple of weeks i should still be ok. I booked my flight at the beginning of the year for October as i thought i would be approved by then (and hopefully i will). I know its not recommended but i did it because Singapore Airlines started doing a direct flight from Manchester to Houston and they were super super cheap as they were new and not to mention the fact i can now cut out flying to London and catching a connecting flight. So lets hope my idea was a good idea lol

34 days in total for them to acknowledge receipt and assign a case number. However since then it's only taken 7 days for it to go through processing to received at consulate and then ready at consulate.

There's some talk that certain consulates are now processing files electronically which is causing a delay at NVC to process them but once processed speeds the process up.

Hope this helps!

We have a case number assigned. So does this mean in 7 days (approximately) our petition will be at the consulate in my country?

That's great you were able to get a super cheap and direct flight!  My fiance lives in London so we'll be doing Heathrow to Chicago but I still need to decide if we'll drive down from Chicago to my city, about 2 hours away, or if we'll do the connecting flight to my local airport.  It'll all come down to the cost when it comes time to actually book.  Yesterday I was looking at flights and they are still reasonably priced but we'll see what a few months will do to those.  I always knew that one way tickets were usually more expensive but I was shocked to see that if I bought a one way ticket for my fiance it was going to be $1,000 more than my round-trip ticket.  If that's still the case when I go to book, then we'll just buy him a round-trip ticket and cancel the return once he's here.

I honestly couldn't say. I don't know if they're using the same process with every consulate/embassy.

Yeah, we'll be doing a 3 hour drive to San Antonio from Houston as I'm bringing my dog over with me and she'll be flying to Houston too but on a different flight. My Flight only cost me £400 for a one way which is why i was like :o Where as my dogs flight will be £1,400

We tried, he spoke to two agents and a supervisor and they all refused to transfer him, advising him they were working on December 15th cases so it's not our time yet <_<

I'm still waiting also  (and have quit counting days.....NOA1 2/6)

I have had no luck getting to a tier 2 either....

I sent a request to my congressman's office on Monday and they sent me an email yesterday saying they would not inquire about my petition because I was within normal processing times for the 129f and to contact them in August if I haven't heard anything...

I am beyond frustrated at this point...I am livid.

How many of us are still waiting for the NOA2? I feel like we've been put on the back burner and forgotten about :(

What makes it worse is that my fiance cant even get the UPS mail tracker as one of the questions we cant answer as we don't know what the answer is due to someone attempting to steal his identity a few years back and putting that he worked somewhere he hasn't. So i quite literally feel like I'm living in the stone age having nothing to check where our case is at. We haven't heard from the congressman either, I checked his website to see if there was a form that someone mentioned that would speed it up but i couldn't find one anywhere.

On a positive note, I'm getting my report from my Dr and booking my vaccinations on Friday. :)

Our NOA1 is 1st of Feb...

This is so hard and frustrating! :(

Oh no really!! Did you explain that March filers have been approved etc? This is absolutely ridiculous, i can totally understand your frustration. I still haven't had a response yet from the congressman but if i get the same response you did i also will be livid!

Hi there, so I'm from Canada and I received packet 4 via e-mail. It has a list of instructions on how to set up an interview with the consulate. I went to the website, to set up an account for it, but it is telling me that "The Immigrant Visa case number provided is not ready to schedule an appointment." That doesn't make sense because I did receive a letter from NVC and a letter from the Consulate, and I checked that the information is correctly written. Is there a way to fix this?
