Hi guys! We just received our case number!!! Whew. And they told us yesterday to wait two weeks!! It's funny/coincidence that same with our approval. When we called in the morning, the lady give us no updates. Then the same day in the evening, Justin received his NOA2 mail. 😀😀

So, I don't want to seem stupid, but I can't find the NVC case status page. :( Where do I insert my NVC case number and check my k1 petition status?

Hello, guys. A little update. We called NVC today, around the time they first open, and we actually got through this time!! They said our petition was received on last Friday and told us to call back in two weeks. Has it really taken two weeks for NVC to assign a case number for any of your petitions? I was thinking of calling them back on Wednesday again. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Not for us. Same thing happened to me when I called, they told me to call back in two weeks. I ended up calling week later and was given the NVC number by a very nice lady on the phone.

We are interviewing on August 21st in Havana, Cuba. I was wondering are there any tips on dress code? I ended buying my fiance black plain shorts and a black and white shirt to match since it'll be one of the hottest months of the year in Cuba and we will be waiting outside the majority of the morning. I think he will have a heat stroke if he has to wear slacks and a button down. I am planning on wearing a simple knee length dress (not tight) with a light sweater. I know this seems insignificant but I want to make sure nothing stops us from being approved.

That link is the main landing page. Can you please share what part of the site and what I would need to check? Or can I only check if I have called them and received something I don't have other than the NOA2 letter?

While I wait for an NVC to confirm they've received our application, is there any harm in going through the steps of getting my employer to create a proof of income document as well as getting a statement from my bank? Just wondering if it's better to time those things so the date is closer to the interview.

You will need your NVC case number. From the main page, click on "Check My Visa Application Status" (Under the Immigrant heading), and select Immigrant Visa and then you will enter your case number and the captcha code. Hoping you get your case number very soon!

Babe (USC) requested the documents from her job and got them within a week, bank letter she got on the same day she went in and made the inquiry. We didn't receive our noa2 yet when we started gathering documents.

Did all original documents in advance so postal will be on time.

i believe dated documents needed to be within a reasonable timeframe of interview, not sure what is deemed reasonable also to corroborate the letters a scan of her latest pay stubs when I'm ready for interview will work.

By the way,

Is there anyone here who's going through the route of having to provide proof of domicile? I'm in a bit of a sticky situation since I'm working in Singapore and I'm trying to gather as much evidence I can get my hands on, but I don't believe it's "concrete" enough. I'm also actively seeking employment now back home so hopefully I can land an offer before we hit the interview date.

Hello! I will need to do this as I have been living and working in Cancun, Mx for the last 7.5 years. I have maintained my drivers license the whole time with the address of where we are going to be living. I also have my US bank account and 2 credit cards at the same address. I have started looking into quotes for the car I will have when I am back (my dad is selling me his, so I have a VIN number) and I have already started my job inquiries as well. I will also have my dad write a letter that Tony and I will be living at his address indefinitely once we arrive to the US.

I hope this helps. I will be creating a formal letter outlining how I have maintained an address and the proof to go along with it. If you have voted in any US elections, you can use your voter registration as a tie to the US.
