Wow...our case was stuck at the NVC for over a month. NOA2 was May 11 and we just got our case number today. And I can't even believe it but now it's already in transit.

Still I have a question....The note below the "In Transit" status says:

- Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center. -

What does that mean? The interview date was provided where? Will we get an email oder a letter from NVC? I thought that the interview will be scheduled at the embassy?! I'm so confused!

Thank you...

Ours was sent to the consulate from the NVC today.  Our application is headed to Bogota, Colombia and the "In Transit" status has the same message about an interview date being provided.

Ok guys here is my update, NVC sent our case to the embassy on Friday night and today the embassy received our documents and sent out packet 3 to my fiancee!!! it's getting real now!! lol  FYI the USCIS tracker still has our case as received it has not changed and on the NVC status tracker under where it says READY it has 2 case numbers one for my K1 and the other for my K2. ( i know some of us have K2's in our application so i wanted to clear that up, you will see your K2 confirmation when the NVC case status is at READY!!)

You guys are doing it the long way honestly...unless your congressman doesn't want to be bothered...according to what I saw you can just call in....or...what I did was went to their website...sent a contact email...I got sent an automatic response that said if its an immigration issue to just call ...from there I got emailed the inquiry form and they faxed it to uscis next day....easy peasy...I honestly think I over explained...they hear this stuff all day...she just wanted to send the form and handle it...lol

I think we may be talking about the same inquiry form...I just emailed mine too....

How long did it take for you to hear back from them?

Thanks for the info! :) I definitely hope it was a rare case. I can't wait anymore. :( I just got done telling my fiancé how much I miss him and how I can't sleep. :(:( This process needs to end soon. There has already been so much of waiting, frustration and anxiety.

its absolutely true!!! we were waiting more than 100 days, some of our filers still waiting for their approvals. may I ask you how long it took between NOA2 and case received by NVC? a week or longer? I had NOA2 on 06/12/17 and received by mail on 06/16/17.

Anyone waiting longer than expected for the NVC to supply a case number? Received NOA2 on June 1st, called NVC today and still nothing. So frustrating :(

Yes, there is a handful of us still waiting (NOA2 - May 19).  From what I can gather, those who wait longer than normal are being entered into their new electronic system.  Seems a lot of canadians are having to go that route.  You really have only been waiting slightly over 2 weeks though so I wouldn't worry, you might not be included in that.

I just finished a call with the NVC. I was on hold for about 30 minutes and they told me that our receipt # from USCIS isn't on their system yet and that it could take 6-8 weeks. Our NOA2 date was marked June 5, 2017 so it's only been two weeks so I'll probably try giving them another call in another 2-3 weeks.

By the way,

Is there anyone here who's going through the route of having to provide proof of domicile? I'm in a bit of a sticky situation since I'm working in Singapore and I'm trying to gather as much evidence I can get my hands on, but I don't believe it's "concrete" enough. I'm also actively seeking employment now back home so hopefully I can land an offer before we hit the interview date.

@TriloByte Did you also contact your congress person  (or am I confused)?

I vaguely remember the post but everything is getting jumbled in my mind at this point

Several times. Each time about the case tracker being broken. The first time, they ignored my actual request about the case tracker and just asked for an update on my case and then I was approval (NOA2) 7 days later. Then a few days ago I reached out to my congressman again about the case tracker.
