From a selfish point of view, it worries me seeing someone from my country with an easy case (I think you said it was easy) going through this long wait. Also feeling for you because it is indeed hard. I truly hope you get your NOA2 really soon and then everything should go fast. I know some other Spanish girl here that waited like 5 months for the NOA2 but then the rest went super fast.

I wrote to my congressman again. I doubt it will help any, but I tried...

My case was approved on June 7th, 2017.

 

I am still however concerned for the people who are walking down this same path behind me. If I go to the USCIS website:

 

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do

 

And type in my case: XXXXXXXXXXXXX

 

I get the message that my case is received. My case is approved, not received 

 

The citizens of this country deserve to have a case tracking system that works. If it doesn't work, at the very least we deserve and honest answer that it doesn't and an ETR of when it will be fixed. The case tracker has been broken since May 2nd, 2017 and countless people have reported it broken and the USCIS phone support refuses to acknowledge it or fix it. 

 

I am a member of an online immigration forum and this sort of thing, along with many other USCIS related issues are giving the United States a bad image for the people who are immigration here. I have seen countless immigrates talking about how disorganized and broken USCIS is, and rightly so seeing how USCIS has handled our cases.

 

Would it be possible to please submit a new inquiry about the case tracker being broken?

Guys I have a question... when I call nvc I use the non-immigrant option and I speak with an agent successfully for an update. However when I use the website to do my check I get an error message using the non-immigrant option but when I tried the immigrant option I got an update. 

 

Is k1 is immigrant or non- immigrant visa? I'm confused with its classification.

Non immigrant Visa with immigrant intent, so sometimes they classify it like immigrant. Actually it's the IV (Immigrant Visa) unit at the Embassy the one we have to deal with.

It's technically non immigrant but I believe I've seen people on here say that to track it on the ceac you need to go under immigrant.

I have a question too)), should I send my divorce certificate to my fiancé for interview in US embassy, website does not mentioned, it is only affidavit of support, my financial docs(W2, taxes, paystabs,ect). Just curious, if we sent divorce papers to USCIS with I-129F, is it will send automatically whole package to embassy?

I just checked NVC and our case changed to "Ready"

 

here is the timing:

NOA1 - 17 February

NOA2 - 24 May

Received hard copy of NOA2 in mail - 30 May

Petition received and case # assigned by NVC - 8 June

Case status changed from "At NVC" to "In Transit" - 16 June

Case status changed from "In Transit" to "Ready" - 18 June

Everything you sent to USCIS is forwarded to the embassy with your petition. So there's no need to double-up.
