I just called the NVC.  I asked them if they could tell me when they had received my I-129F petition but all she told me was that my information had been entered into the system on June 13th.  I received my case number and invoice number about a week ago when I had another question for them, but I have not received any notice from NVC.  She also told me that she doesn't know when my application will be sent to the embassy but that petitions normally don't stay there for more than a couple weeks.

I know it's not that important but I was really hoping they could tell me when they had actually received my case.  For those that have received a letter or e-mail from NVC, was the received date in the letter or e-mail?  I'd like to update my timeline but not quite sure what to put for NVC received date.  Should I put June 13 or the date that I called (a week ago) as the received date?

Congratulations on the recent approvals! Been busy trying to get the documents ready for the next step, the interview. I applied for my police report too.

We tried to call NVC yesterday and today, just put on hold for more than 45 minutes and never got through to speak to anyone. So we haven't received our case number yet. We will try to keep calling till we get through. If you called them and got through, please tell me any advice how to get through to them. We have also emailed NVC but no response yet.

Also, for anyone who calls USCIS, they will just give everyone the same answer, "we are working on the December cases". Don't lost hope because of their hogwash!  On last Monday when my fiancé called them in the morning, the lady who picked up said the same thing to us and didn't even give much or any helpful information. But, our case had been already approved on June 02nd. We called in the morning on June 12th. And, later in the afternoon the same day we received our NOA2 in the mail!! But, when we called earlier the lady didn't even mention that the USCIS had sent us a notice. Don't know why she couldn't have said or mention about the approval over the phone.

So, if you haven't received your noa2 yet, don't lose hope. We got our noa2 when we were on the edge of losing our sanity. We got it when we least expected it. It will come.

It's  just a waiting game till you receive your visa and see your loved one. Just have stay strong till then. So whenever you feel frustrated about this waiting, try to look at the bigger picture. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sending love and hugs. 💕

2/7/17- I-129F was mailed

2/14/17- NOA1 received

5/22/17- Request for more evidence notified by email

Currently waiting on receiving the official letter this week. What exactly does the request for evidence usually need? Pretty annoyed it took this long just for them to let me know they need more evidence from me....

*Update*

The RFE was asking about how we met online and to prove if it was or was not an IMB (it was not) and I also had to check off two boxes I overlooked while filling out the I-129F :'(. We met on Tinder so I had to wait for an email response informing me that Tinder was not an IMB. I attached a copy of the email to my typed out response to the RFE and properly checked boxes I had previously missed then mailed it out.

Timeline:

2/7/17- I-129F was mailed

2/14/17- NOA1 received

5/22/17- Request for more evidence notified by email

5/31/17- Received RFE in the mail

6/2/17- Mailed response with evidence to the RFE

6/6/17- They received my RFE response

6/14/17- NOA2 was received in the mail stating our approval (no email notice)

NVC stage might be more of a -show than waiting for an NOA-2. We were approved a month ago, and in multiple calls to NVC these past two weeks we've been told a) The case was received by them on June 3rd, b) the case was received June 15th and c) The case hasn't been received at all.

I have called a handful of times and never really had the same response, and really don't have any idea what to expect at this point..

Nope, because we're still waiting for the case number from them. Which we would expect to have by now, but mysteriously don't! I'll call again later and see if I get any more luck. It could well be that the quoted date change from 3rd to 15th implies there's been *some* movement on it yesterday, but it really doesn't make sense that every time my fiancee or I call, we get a different answer.

I didn't do anything that you didn't do more than likely.  I called them and waited for about 35-40 minutes before finally talking to someone.  But the last two days that I have tried to call it went straight to the message of having too many calls and I wasn't even put on waiting.

Wow thanks thas a big help

another question ☺️

Did you call the nvc for your case# and ask if the k2 is included on the petition or you wait until you receive their notice?

Neither.  I called to get the case number and then just checked the status multiple times per day.  I wasnt even smart enough to think of the question.

After the status changed the two numbers were at the bottom.

So I'm on day 135 for noa2 and of course doing the most logical thing which is go through my copy of documents sent looking for any mistake possible. So I found one mistake I did but not sure if it would be enough to cause an RFE. I entered in the consulate to interview as Istanbul instead of Ankara... Just wondering if it matters that much since only one does interviews in Turkey. This waiting is driving me crazy. If I get an RFE after waiting this long it will be beyond annoying.
