NVC update. If you watch the Processing Times here on VJ, it is showing the NOA2 to NVC Receive Date of May 24. Which is 20 days.

I am normally a very passive person. But I just called NVC and our Petition was received yesterday.

NOA2, May 30

NVC Received June 12

14 days. The lady who answered the phone said she expects it to leave NVC by Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was QUICK. Congrats!!!!!! I hope that speed is contagious. :)

Today was root canal day for me. I had a run in with a crappy dentist three weeks ago, who sent me to the ER after drilling into my sinus and pouring bleach into it. Today I had a specialist go in and fix all that damage, so I was extremely nervous and scared about today. However, I woke up and checked the informed delivery and there it was. The golden Wonka wrapper, the USCIS letter.

I didn't tell my fiancee because 1) until I opened that letter it could have been and RFE and 2) I wanted to record a video of me opening the letter so that she and I could get the good news at the same time.

I sat through the 1.5-hour root canal cleanup job, staggered out of there and headed toward home toward that mailbox. About 5 minutes from the house I started recording a video and talking like nothing was up. Then as I pulled into home, I changed my tone to be much more excited and told her that I hope to have a surprise for her. I walked to the mailbox, pulled out the letter so that the camera could see it, walked to the car and got in, took a deep breath and NOA2!!!! :D:D

Received: Jan 31

NOA1: Feb 2

NOA2: June 7

Please hang in there everyone who is still waiting. I know how hard it is, but the good news is on the way. I have said it before, and I will say it again, you all are the strongest and greatest people I know.

Congratulations!!!! I just saw your post. Yayyy im so happy for you.

Sorry, but it seems clear to me the right answer is "single". I mean, if you were never married or in a civil union before, that's it.

Lol.. yeah i thought so too but i was like is this a trick question because he is the father of my child and we have been partner so to me personally he isnt single but yeah his legal marital status is single and i actually did put single before seeing your answers. Lol......

hi guys! just got back home today from south africa and my fiance was finally able to open the mail he received from USCIS. and it is our NOA2!!!! =D

funny thing is (and like somebody mentioned on here before) i thought i was gonna feel a huge relief but no, it was not the case. don't get me wrong, i AM happy that we have been approved but it was sort of anti-climatic really for us. plus now, i am sort-of panicking that things will happen so fast and i won't have enough time to be ready etc!

NOA1: Feb 24

NOA2: May 30

Received the NOA2 mail in the post on June 3. Status still says "Case Was Received" online as expected.

When do you guys think should we start calling NVC?

Congratulations!!!! Great news. Well, you'll be able to get things done in a short  time don't worry. 😊 Hope you had a good time during your visit.

And, as far as I know you have to wait two weeks after NOA2. That's the normal time, but I've seen people getting their case received by nvc earlier in less than two weeks of time.

My question is if the beneficiary can call the nvc or not... If someone knows please let me know.

Thank you!!!! Yep, great news indeed to cap off our time together.

It has been two weeks after our NOA2 so I will ask my fiance to start calling! Apart from the case number / invoice number, is there anything else he should ask NVC during the call?

There are others probably better qualified to answer your question. This is an extremely stressful time for us all. Relax, see what comes, they only need help clarifying something so they can send on your File. If you need help, just ask. I promise. Once you receive NOA2, all wounds heal quickly.

Best Wishes

Thank you WayneAdoresWendy! Right now he didn't received yet the hard copy of the RFE. I am hoping that they need minor evidence only. How long is the usual waiting time after submitting the RFE back to USCIS?
