Today was root canal day for me. I had a run in with a crappy dentist three weeks ago, who sent me to the ER after drilling into my sinus and pouring bleach into it. Today I had a specialist go in and fix all that damage, so I was extremely nervous and scared about today. However, I woke up and checked the informed delivery and there it was. The golden Wonka wrapper, the USCIS letter.

I didn't tell my fiancee because 1) until I opened that letter it could have been and RFE and 2) I wanted to record a video of me opening the letter so that she and I could get the good news at the same time.

I sat through the 1.5-hour root canal cleanup job, staggered out of there and headed toward home toward that mailbox. About 5 minutes from the house I started recording a video and talking like nothing was up. Then as I pulled into home, I changed my tone to be much more excited and told her that I hope to have a surprise for her. I walked to the mailbox, pulled out the letter so that the camera could see it, walked to the car and got in, took a deep breath and NOA2!!!! :D:D

Received: Jan 31

NOA1: Feb 2

NOA2: June 7

Please hang in there everyone who is still waiting. I know how hard it is, but the good news is on the way. I have said it before, and I will say it again, you all are the strongest and greatest people I know.

Just got to read your post!!! I'm so happy for you! I know the feeling. I was ecstatic when I saw the letter in my fiancé's hand. I couldn't stop crying! Now, I have a question. Our approval date is June 2. So is it two weeks from that date we should call nvc or? I've been up all night. It's a relief to finally get the letter, that's what it is. ❤️❤️

Yes. I got to the point of feeling like there was no hope and then BAM! Approved! :) One hell of an emotional day for sure.

I think it is two weeks wait from NOA2 until we can call NVC as you stated. I don't think there are any actionable items generated by NVC received though. It's embassy received where we can submit the DS160, have the medical and schedule the interview.

I called the NVC today because I actually wanted to correct a tiny error that I saw in the NOA2.  The notice date was May 30.  I was hoping to get out ahead of the problem if there were to be one.  The first time I called was a week ago.  They hadn't received the application from USCIS yet and told me to call back every couple of days but I called today, a week later.

Today she told me that the application had been received and gave me the case number and the invoice number.  It caught me off guard.  I have not received anything via mail or e-mail yet.  Where can I go to check the status of my application (to see if it's been sent, in transit, etc.)?  When should I be sending all the documents that she will need to have for the interview (hopefully I'm not already behind :()?

Sorry, but it seems clear to me the right answer is "single". I mean, if you were never married or in a civil union before, that's it.

For London you can book a medical / get the DS160 done once you have the LDN number from the NVC :D

make sure your finacee has ordered the police certs etc before then :)

once again...I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pleased for you!

Congrats for those getting their NOA2s.....yay.  For those who are still waiting, keep the faith and distract yourself with anything you can while you wait....and inquire when you have to.

I just got a Ready date of June 13 from the NVC, so I guess we are ready to schedule and keep moving forward.  Good luck to everyone, once it does start moving....it really moves.  Keep the faith!.

the Department of State CEAC website, I don't remember the exact url address but I'm sure it will come up in a google search... You search by your NVC case number and it gives you the status, but from talking with the embassies and the representatives at the NVC, the website seems to be late about a day or so, so best bet if you are really pressed for time is to call... Once the website stated that our petition was "Ready" we started filling out DS-160 since we had already done the medical the moment we received our case number. We didn't submit anything til we physically received packet 3 because the two times we called the embassy they said, that it was there but not ready yet, so we didn't want to risk wasting time going back and forth with them. Hope this helps.. Good Luck

I have a question for anyone at the NVC/Embassy phase.  Case says ready and she can setup an appointment once she pays.  Thing is I havent' gotten a letter from NVC yet.  She was told she could just capture a pic of the Ready notice from NVC and use that in place of the letter (which I am wondering if it will come).   Anyone have any experience with this?  Thanks in advance.
