Some advice when calling NVC.  I called a total of three times over three days. Always around 9:30 pm EST.  My average wait time was about 20 to 35 minutes.  One time I called and got the initial greeting message, but it was different. It stated the call volume was high and to call back later.  Rather than call back, I selected option 1 anyway and I was immediately transferred to the regular prompting where I then selected option 7 like my previous call.  The lesson; just press one no matter what the message. 

 

The first two times I called they asked for the WAC# or NOA receipt number.  They immediately told me my petition had not been received.  The night I received my Case number was different. After providing the WAC#,  I was asked my name, my fiance's name and her DOB.  At that point I knew something was different.  I was then told the petition had arrived that day, and they asked if I would like the case number.

 

NOA2 date 5/24 (received in the mail 5/30), NVC received petition an issued case number 6/8.

It would be interesting to see your data scans for March files since they have started working those - the RFEs might now be falling off and split mostly between Feb and March.

Your timeline show that Embassy already received your case. Weird but anyway.....We have received our NOA2 on May5, NVC received our case and still dont have our number....everytime we call NVC a different agent picks up the call and provide an different answer.

 

That is so frustrating.

Funny thing is that Embassy received my case after one hour I posted:) that's why I updated my timeline:)

I wish I could have your timeline. I'm still waiting on this noa2. We are scheduling the interview at the Istanbul consulate.

I wish you will get your soon. But I don't think you can schedule the interview in Istanbul. Ankara Consulate is only consulate processing K-1 visas.

I do wonder how NVC operate. We got our NOA2 on May 10th and they still haven't received our case yet....calling gets us nowhere but the standard 60 day response. Frustrating to say the least!

Today was root canal day for me. I had a run in with a crappy dentist three weeks ago, who sent me to the ER after drilling into my sinus and pouring bleach into it. Today I had a specialist go in and fix all that damage, so I was extremely nervous and scared about today. However, I woke up and checked the informed delivery and there it was. The golden Wonka wrapper, the USCIS letter.

 

I didn't tell my fiancee because 1) until I opened that letter it could have been and RFE and 2) I wanted to record a video of me opening the letter so that she and I could get the good news at the same time.

 

I sat through the 1.5-hour root canal cleanup job, staggered out of there and headed toward home toward that mailbox. About 5 minutes from the house I started recording a video and talking like nothing was up. Then as I pulled into home, I changed my tone to be much more excited and told her that I hope to have a surprise for her. I walked to the mailbox, pulled out the letter so that the camera could see it, walked to the car and got in, took a deep breath and NOA2!!!!  

 

Received: Jan 31 

NOA1: Feb 2

NOA2: June 7

 

Please hang in there everyone who is still waiting. I know how hard it is, but the good news is on the way. I have said it before, and I will say it again, you all are the strongest and greatest people I know.

Amazing news! Sorry you had to deal with all that dental stuff, but at least you are one step closer to being with your fiancee!

@Dave&JoJo the same thing happened to me....Received NOA2 on May 5 and started calling NVC on the following week and since then they were saying that didnt received my case. Last week I spent 1 hour on the phone until they give me a different answer....the agent talked to the supervisor and they finally said they did received my case on May 24. It took them a really long time to AT LEAST tell me that they've received, until them they were saying that still didnt have it. I would encourage you to call them again. it is less likely that USCSI would take more than 3 weeks to send your case to NVC or even that post office would take that long.....

Thanks for the reply, I'm slowly pulling my hair out. This I assumed was supposed to be the simple prt and the lack of information available is staggering. My partner is going to call them again tomorrow. I just want to know they have it and that it's not lost somewhere

I completely understand and I also thought they had lost my case. Keep pushing, even calling between different times in the same day you will get a different agent and even between agent to agent they treat you differently. Some of them shows more interest in helping you while some others dont.....Keep it up and strong....they have your case.
