Thank you, and lets see if more ppl chime in and help out with their experience.

Hello everyone,I have a question about DS160. I have B2 visa which is for tourism, so now should I create a new DS160 or use my previous one but just update the information? secondly, I confuse this visa is immigration or Non-immigration one when I want to check my case status? Many thanks!

So this isn't from experience and it is totally my assumption, so someone please correct me if I am mistaken. It seems to me that once the petition is approved, USCIS passes the torch on to the Visa processing center, so to speak. The new case number provided by the visa center replaces the USCIS number. At least that's how I understand it...

You only need one form i134, but you have to count both of them for the income needed based on your household size and the poverty guidelines (you, your fiancée and her daughter makes 3 of you).

I-864 is for married couples and for AOS later on.

Thank you very much for the clarification!!!

It is my understanding also....and that there is an "A" (alien number) also issued.....

Trying to figure out when an approval is coming and why within this "process" is like trying to figure out who is going to be standing at the intersection of Time Square at exactly 12 noon in the year 2050. You can't. There is no process, just a bunch of clowns in a building together doing whatever they want.

(Hey USCIS, if you are reading, prove me wrong and approval my petition)

I agree completely....

See...I am, well, an older person on this forum....and I worked for the state....so I have been  (and I have been called)....a B--ch, wh%r-, pessimistic, idiot, stupid, blah blah blah....and, quite frankly, I would agree whole heartedly....but this whole process is making me one thing I have never been.....bitter. And I don't like it.  As you know...because you have been waiting longer than I...there's a tunnel...but the light only blinks briefly at the end of it.  Now, deep down, I know we will be approved...I take some comfort in that thought....

It's been over 4 months...you deserve your NOA2.....and so do I.

Lots of Algerians come to Tunisia every year. There lots of beautiful places here. If you have time, you can come with fiancé. Otherwise Algeria is very beautiful too. You can go visit Constantine, Skikda, Bjaya, Oran, Algerier... and many other places. I looove Algeria by the way and I wish you cood luck with your fiancé.

We all deserve the NOA2. We fell in love, we paid the fee and last time I checked, this was the USA, not Nazi Germany. This whole notion of the USCIS, being all up in the middle of my relationship, is IMO unethical and unnecessary. If I am not mistaken, the petitioner and beneficiary, put their a$$ on the line, when they sign that petition and begin the process. I think there should be a strict process that's followed to ensure that the petitioner is not a criminal or a threat to national security, able to support the beneficiary, and minimally show that there is a relationship and then proof of the marriage. Other than that, all of this, ####### I see about adjudicators asking for more pictures, reading divorce decrees in detail, inspecting genitals etc, is going too far. And before someone says that they are inspecting genitals to protect us against diseases, people travel here from other countries all the time, for months, and their genitals are not inspected. This is the biggest farce I have ever seen.

Here's what happens if we commit visa fraud:

Background Marriage fraud is a threat to U.S. national security, financial institutions and the integrity of the immigration system. Marriage fraud investigations conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) have revealed massive schemes that involve complex criminal organizations. Neither victimless nor limited in scope, the crime of marriage fraud is anything but a trivial matter. Engaging in this fraud and trading America’s security for financial gain is a felony with serious criminal penalties and consequences. Types of Marriage Fraud • A U.S. citizen is paid, or asked to perform a favor, to marry a foreign national already residing in the United States; • “Mail-order” marriage where either the U.S. citizen or alien knows it is a fraud; and, • A foreign national defrauds a U.S. citizen who believes the marriage is legitimate. Penalties An individual will be charged with marriage fraud if they entered into a marriage for the purpose of evading U.S. immigration law. This felony offense carries a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000, and applies to both foreign nationals and U.S. citizens who perpetrate this crime.

From the FAQ about how to fill DS-160:

Help: Application Receipt/Petition Number

If you are applying for a petition-based visa, your application receipt/petition number was given to you by the Department of Homeland Security’s U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) after you filed your petition application at a USCIS Service Center. The application receipt/petition number is 13 characters long and the first three characters are letters.
