I understand completely what you are feeling and going through, but it's all going to be worth it. We need to look no further than this process itself to see what type of person we have chosen as our future husbands and wives. They have already stood with us for better, for worse. Our partners may not be with in person, but they are very much with us, and no organization can change that.

My fiancee and I post two lion emoticons to each other each day as a reminder of our strength. Everyone here, on this forum, is incredibly strong and committed. I am proud to be part of such a fine group of people. You all are literally restoring my faith in humanity.

Everyone hang in there, it will all be over soon.

Amen, my friend. My fiance has been so incredibly patient with all my impatience. He's so gentle and understanding. I am so blessed.

I am so grateful that there is this community who understands the ups and downs of the visa process.

I am typically a stalker of the posts in this topic. Finding some giggles and some serious support just by reading others experiences in this modern day legal torture. My fiance and I agreed to not discuss our petition until atleast Day 87 to help lessen the stress each day. Day 60, he started to assemble Packet 3 so we could move quickly once approved. Sigh.... Day 87 came and went. Day 95, I got anxiety. Day 96, I needed some rum and juice. Day 97, I needed rum straight up. And so on. Today, our two year anniversary, I woke up with this "feeling" and i told everyone at work that something was up and I needed to call USCIS to check on my status.

At 12:05pm I called USCIS and spoke with a young lady who was very kind. She did not really even question me when I asked for a transfer to tier2. She kindly transferred me and continued with the callback prompt. (128 minutes later) My phone rings, a young man with a soft gentle voice say hello and says my information did not transfer and asked for my receipt number. I provided in my sweet voice and explained that I am concerned that I might miss my NoA2 because my mail has been disappearing. He kindly placed me on hold for two minutes. Came back and said....

"Ma'am, I am happy to inform you that the petition for your fiance was approved yesterday and the notice was sent the same day." I thanked him 100 times and he giggled. He said "I am one of the good guys. I love giving good news like this to couples who want nothing more than their loved ones closer." He wished us luck and hung up. Still hours later, i am a bit shocked.

This is NOT an easy process by any means. Every day I was so happy to see the approvals but as each day went creeping past 87, I grew bitter and a bit jaded. My heart breaks for those still waiting past Day 100 and more. With all the money for each petition sent, they would provide a better structured routine for approvals. Atleast fix the damn tracker!

Received Date- 2/28

NOA1- 3/6

NOA2- 6/7 (Happy Anniversary To Us!!)

(Fyi- Tracker still shows "Received")

Much love and mad respect to all you amazing couples. Hang in there!

Much love right back to you!

Congratulations

I am truly the most impatient person in the world.....I am an instant gratification.....if you cannot get it now it can be delivered next day (I love Amazon) kinda person.

My fiance is Algerian.....he likes to remind me  (and irritate me at the same time) that in order for him to travel  (mostly to Europe) it takes him 6 months to get a tourist visa....so sometimes I wonder if I am more the norm instead of an anomaly.....

Uuuggghhh....patience....reason....logic....nothing fits with this process

Not sure if it would cause any harm. I am going to call Monday and try to reach Tier 2 again. The plan is to empathize with the agent and tug on some heart strings. Will let everyone know what happens.

Good luck I hope you hear some good news

Hey guy, im a little confused here. I just check my case at the nvc and it says in transit but it also says that my interview date was provided to me by the nvc but in the dominican republic you are supposed to schedule ur interview at least thats what my cousin did and ive read it. Does anyone case status at nvc say this?

Don't worry. I've seen more people asking the same thing and it seems to be just a standard template they use, so you can ignore that part.

Best of luck! :)

USCIS is really not updating the system. Yesterday the online status box only reported 22 updates so I am not going to publish the results today. I will post one tomorrow morning.

Hey Trilobyte

No They are not updating jack via the online status checker because I just received an email from informed delivery from the USPS and I have something coming from USCIS!!!  I'm just hoping it's not an RFE!  Praying to God its the approval, I worked my ### off on that application literally, I lost like 10 lbs from stress and not eating right.  Well everyone wish me luck...I received my NOA1 FEB 10.  I'm praying for you Trilobyte I hope you are right behind me with something from USCIS.

I think its worth a try, you have nothing to lose.  I'm not going to tell anyone to be patient because after waiting over 4 months my patience is completely gone.  I'm just hoping what's in the mail is what I hope it is and not an RFE which will slow my case down by another month.  Go for it Trilobyte

From what I've seen from others in this thread, if you check your cases on USCIS's website and it still says Received and you've got a letter coming, that means an approval.  It seems like they are updating the tracker to say RFE if you've got an RFE coming.  So, I would suggest checking that and then you should know what you've got coming in the mail today.  I hope it's the approval!

I really hope you get someone helpful on Monday, you deserve some good news.

I don't understand why USCIS doesn't have a better online tracking system, along with a better process for processing cases in order.  I'm sure the phone agents get just as tired repeating the same lines as we are in hearing them but if there was a better process and system in place, that would make everyone's life easier and probably allow USCIS to have more employees working cases versus answering phone inquires.

Good morning everyone, i have a quick question to see if you guys can help me out here.

do i have to fill out form i-864 or i-134 for the interview? i am the petitioner

all this has me a bit confused and thinking i should fill out both of them and send them to my fiancee, and also my fiancee is coming with her 10 year old daughter (which i included in original packet) so with that being said do i have to fill out 2 of each forms? one for each beneficiary?

thank you in advance for all your help guys!!

You only need one form i134, but you have to count both of them for the income needed based on your household size and the poverty guidelines (you, your fiancée and her daughter makes 3 of you).

I-864 is for married couples and for AOS later on.
