That is indeed frustrating and outrageous! I am sorry that you have to go through with this nonsense delay with your application. People send the required documents to them and they still ask for more just to make our lives miserable. I wonder if they are laughing while they send those nonsense RFEs. Hopefully everyone will be with their future wife sooner than later.

I know it's been said a lot, but the more I read, the more it really seems to boil down to who is looking at your case. There were several things in my packet that I wondered would generate an RFE---for example, our proof of seeing each other were bus boarding passes in Spanish to a nearby town (we lived together without having neither a lease nor a bank account in either of our names, and with everything else official being beyond the 2-year mark, we took this day trip solely for our K1). We didn't have them translated, which I thought had RFE written on it for sure. There were other things like this that made me feel in the edge, especially after reading what others had sent in. I think if I got a persnickety adjucator, we would not have our NOA2 yet. What is frustrating is that there never seems to be the perfect amount of things in a packet or hard and fast rules. It's so difficult to leave something so important to a stranger who just may be having a hard day.

A quick question to those who got their NOA2 this past week. Did you get an approval notif from the USCIS App as well?

We received no notification of any kind. The app and the USCIS still shows received.

Same with us. Just got the snail mail, and that was it.

I did my best to avoid an RFE but I have a feeling I'll end up with one.  On one of my trips to visit my fiance I even made a point to take a picture of the two of us with a UK newspaper showing the name of the newspaper and the date.  I didn't want USCIS to have any reason to say that I didn't have proof that we were together in the last 2 years.

The one thing that bothered us more than the process is that we always felt like a threesome. Everything we did, we always had USCIS with us. Asking many times a day, did we keep the receipt, did we remember to get a picture? I look forward to just living my relationship as Husband and Wife. No one else looking over our shoulder.

This is what I think too. No standard process, that's followed anyway, just whoever gets it and whatever they feel like on that day.

What we did, though RapidVisa ask us not to submit everything we had, we took a photo everywhere with the receipts. Example: We buy bus tickets, we took a picture with the bus. Had dinner and a receipt with photo for every restaurant. When I submitted the photos and especially the receipts, I arranged them in chronological order with a small explanation of each.

Thanks!  :D  I tried my best to think of every excuse they might have to give an RFE and tried to preemptively answer anything that might bring an RFE or cause for concern.  Of course now there's a part of me that wonders if they'll see it as a smartass move, which was not my intention, and just give me an RFE.

I tried to do the same as well.  We also went to the London Eye on one trip and made a point to buy one of those tourist trap photos that cost way too much because it also had the date printed on the bottom of the photo.  So then it was not just a picture we took but an "official" photo with a date stamp that I could also include with a receipt and credit card statement.

lol, yes, it did look a bit like a ransom photo  :D:D:D

And I totally agree with you about this process making you question how things work.  In a normal world, things tend to go A to B to C to D but it seems like with this whole process it goes for A to Q to Pi to B.

We were going to do that with an Argentine newspaper with the USA election results, but when the time came, it felt like too loaded of a subject to even think of going there. Sooo we skipped it.
