I quoted the wrong thing and want to make sure you get reassurance on this point. I have 2 kids, so in my divorce decree, there is a possession order, child support, etc. with each of these things being many pages long. That's why mine is huge.

Yeah, I figured that would be part of it. My fiance has a son too, but he's in the UK, so no child support in the decree. Very sad situation with his mom being difficult too. :(

This is why I didn't move to the UK, kids. I would never leave my kids behind (while they are young) and I would never take the kids away from my X. My fiancee agreed that it would be best she move here for these reasons. She lives in a very nice part of the UK too. I love her very much already, but things like this make me love her even more.

Don't get me wrong though, every situation is different. People do what they feel is best most of the time, I imagine.

My fiance and his ex wife never lived together really. She refused to go live to the US and though they tried a couple of times for their son's sake they never really get along.

My fiance would never fight for custody because even with all that he doesn't want to take away his son from her.

I don't really like to talk about this whole situation because I know how it might sound from the outside. Just the typical bad mouthing the ex. So she harassed me on FB and threatened my family, me and my fiance, and the sadness of two people that can't seem to get along for their son has made me cry multiple times. But yeah, every situation is different.

Yes. It's a terrible situation from the sounds on it :(. There have been three major things in my life that were just heartbreaking and profoundly sad to have gone through, and my divorce was one of them. Just do the best you can, that's all any of us can do.

Yes, it's not a nice situation, but I'm just collateral. To be honest, I was trying to delete my previous comment because I keep feeling it's not my place to talk here about their personal problems and I hate looking like a whiner. But I can't find a way, so let's just ignore my 'rant'.

Well now I'm worried...I didn't send my whole divorce package...I only sent the pages that showed the divorce date signed and stamped by the court and judge...I figured the other stuff was too much information and quite frankly...none of their business...like they need to know my visitation dates..just down right ridiculous....like they should be able to confirm what I sent through the courts online anyways...I can't stand this process...

Who really knows though, right? It's like a black hole over there at the USCIS pyramid complex. Information goes in, but none comes out. It seems that one person submits a couple boarding passes and a handful of photos and is approved in record time. Then other times, a person submits everything down to what brand of toothpaste they use, and get an RFE for more evidence.

I agree with what you are saying 100%. I don't think USCIS needs to know all of these personal details. They need to know if it's a bonafide relationship, which means in the end, it's up to them to decide, regardless of what evidence is submitted. They can obviously see all of our travel records, in a computer system. So if there are photos of us together, and that's the only time we have traveled there, then it's a no-brainer. If the judge signed it, and it's filed with the clerk, then we are divorced, period. Then, it's up to them, personally, to decide if it's an approval or not. It's none of their &^*@)@ business what my fiancee and I do. I've said it before and I will say it again, I think the process is unethical and reminds me of being back in kindergarten. I will be so glad when this is over with.

Quick question I noticed on my RFE it includes a A number. However we have to send our g-325a form back for my fiancée, do we include this number on the g-325a form now that we have it ? Or is this a different number and should we leave that space blank or N/A. It says file number A. And on the RFE it's an A number there

Hi everyone, i have a couple of questions hoping to get answers.

1) For evidence of communication I printed out our Facebook chat but me and my fiancée have different names on Facebook than our legal names. But I made an attachement where I explained that in detail

2) Our conversation is in French so I also submited a translation of every single one.

So can these 2 delay the process? Or has anybody in this forum had the same experience?

I have 121 days and counting!

Thank you

We finally received our NOA2 approval yesterday via snail mail, app is still reporting only that NOA1 was sent. We also did not show in any scans as being touched. Our app was received on 2/21/17. We are so thankful for this site and the users on it who provide a wealth of info. Now onto the next phase of the process. For those still waiting keep your heads up!

Btw- I'm in the tech field and completed the app by myself (no lawyer etc).

Omg that's my receive date 😱😱😱😱
